A mission
Who| Shion and Wesker
What| Shion goes to find Wesker, to discuss curing zombies
Where| Tribute tower, district 11 suites
When| After the 'gas leak' but before the announcement by the capitol
Warnings/Notes| zombie talk,
It had been a few weeks since the date auction but Shion had not forgotten his promise to R. The Capitol somewhere had a cure for his illness, they had used it on Shion and others that R had bitten, so Shion would find it and use it to cure R.
However Shion had very little idea of how to even start, not understanding anything of the illness, or of the technology of this world. He had thought long and hard on how to start and had decided he needed help.
He only knew three people who were Capitol 'citizens' and yet he thought would help, Ayase, who he doubted would know anything on the subject, Glinda, likewise and Wesker.
Wesker, despite being one of the most terrifying people Shion had met seemed like he would be able to find out information. And so that was where he was heading. He might be frightening but he had always been nice to Shion, even after what Shion had said in the interviews.
So here he was in the lounge of area 11, really he should have... organised this first rather than just turning up, Wesker was probably busy, one of the escorts was glaring at him as he tried to pretend he didn't exist and fiddled with his hair (which was bright green today).

If he Wesker had been interested in prostrating himself before the Capitol even more than already was required, there was quite the difference between himself and the gentle, sugary sweet blonde.
He wouldn't let himself run loose either.
"Tell me, as interested as you are in R's predicament - have you begged the Capitol's favor?"

Wesker was at least a victor, he had some power even if it were fake, given to him by them.
"I don't think they would listen to me..."

As much as it pained him to say. To call himself a mere mortal again. To liken himself to Shion.
(His fingers on the arm of his chair twitched, curled. The grip strong... but so much weaker than it should have been. His great power robbed from him.)
"We are the others. Tools, at best." Pets. Playthings. Expendable, and replaceable. "And whatever they might call us, however they might smile, that is all we will ever be."
For as long they held all the power.

Even being an elite did not save anyone, a step wrong and you went from being an asset to a liability. Everyone was disposable, he thought of Safu but that way lay only pain.
"It is the same everywhere." Here, No. 6, the places before No. 6; those that destroyed themselves in their hatred and intolerance. His tone was soft but his eyes burned with determination. He had destroyed one corrupt system, made it anew. He could do the same here, he just needed a plan.

He was nudging Shion along, as he had so many others, as inflammatory as he could be, here where the Capitol was sure to be watching - listening.
Hopefully he would be quicker on the uptake than Maximus had been.
(What a bitter disappointment that still was.)
"But unless they do..." he trailed off, fingers of his propped up hand waving idly.

"Then there isn't much we can do..." They needed technology, and they weren't about to get it any time soon. Unless they stole it, or broke in. Shion didn't even know where it would be, this city was large and there wasn't exactly a Cloning building marked on the map.
He nodded, hoping that Wesker understood that he understood.

Point made.
Before anything else, they would first have to help themselves.

But that was selfish, Rat was elsewhere, hopefully safe. Shion would have to do this alone. Well perhaps not completely; he looked at Wesker again.

"My door is always open."
A beat.
"Though knocking is encouraged."

Following ones impluses blindly had a tendency to leading one to a sticky end.
"You may want to work on that, before the next arena."

"Was there anything else, Mr. Shion?"
He was a busy man after all.
