District 2 Suites

The Summoner had been cleaned up and led to his level and pointed to a room. He had been itching at straps for the fake wings he was wearing that mimicked the real wings he had tied down under his clothes. This was a strange place indeed.

So far in his stay he has left a hole in the wall with one of his horns above the door to his suite. It was an accident, and after that he hadn't attempted to go through the door again. He was currently slumped on one of the couches pondering his next move. He could probably stay where he was and just sleep here until they could do something about his door.

"I wonder if anyone minds me sleeping here for now."

Training Center

Having finally escaped his living quarters the Summoner has come to a place he thinks is somewhat familiar. There are weapons all around but he goes straight for a lance, the sort he's used to using. Of course to get to the lance he has to go past a rack of throwing knives (which he bumps with his horns and knocks over) and an area for practicing camouflage (which he has dragged his fake wings through on the way). Between the mess and the noise, and the generally huge horns he's walking around with it's impossible not to notice he's there.

"They do be being huge." She told him wrinkling her nose. "Do they no be being really heavy?"

He has to consider that for a second. They didn't stop him from flying, so they couldn't weigh that much if you cut them off of him.

"I guess not, but then, I've always had them. If they suddenly appeared on your head you would probably think they were, but I'm used to the weight."

She thought about that for a moment, and nodded. "I do be guessing so. They do be looking weird though, but not as stupid as stupid trolls and Signless'."

He narrows his eyes at her. This tiny human had better not be insinuating that Signless is a 'stupid troll'.

"We can't help the horns we're born with."

No, just his ancestor. Though she thought a lot of Signless' ideas were stupid. "I do be guessing you can no be. Do you be bumping into things a lot?"

"Not usually, but these quarters are closer than I'm used to. I'm really more of an outdoor troll than an indoor one."

He pulled a face at that, he didn't like the idea that so much of this place was enclosed.

"Do you no be living in a house?" She asked wrinkling her nose. She knew very little about trolls or how they lived at all, but maybe some of them did just live outside.

"A what?" He's not familiar with that word. "I live wherever I have to. I'm just sad this place is going to be harder to navigate than most."

He reaches up to touch one of his horns, like if he's not careful someone will cut them off.

"A house. This do be being a house." She waved her arms around, "Just it do be being a big one, most of them do be being small and made of mud that do be being really hard in bricks and not... whatever this do be being." She wrinkled her nose again.

He still seems confused, but he's willing to take her word for it.

"Okay. I don't think I've lived in one of these before."

"Well you do be now, they do be giving everyone a room and food and everything here." She told him, wondering what his world was like that he had never even heard of a house before.

They call them something different where he's from, but some of it is just lost in translation.

"That is nice of them, even if they're making us earn it by forcing us to fight and kill each other."

"It do no be being too bad. But I do be guessing you do be being a troll and lots of trolls do be crying about killing." She sighed, even more than humans did she thought. She blamed Signless, even if they didn't know him.
