He's happy to be here
Who: Gambit and anyone
What: Waking up in a horrible place
Where: District 10 Suites, the Common Area of the Training Center
When: Yesterday, before the crowning
Warnings: Gonna be a little slow, sorry
District 10
Remy stared at the room, then the peacekeeper, then the communicator he was handed, then the elevator the peacekeeper disappeared into.
He wanted to make a fuss, but the Cajun was still trying to figure out if this was some sort of horrible prank or if this was real on some level. Maybe this was some crazy telepath's idea of torture? If so, it would make more sense to add his friends here instead of total strangers.
Well, weirder things have happened... Didn't that guy mention something about dying?
Remy turned back to the room... "Bonjour?" Someone's having a serious delayed reaction.
Common Area
This wasn't a dream. It wasn't a telepath. He was about 85% sure this was all actually real. He had really been pulled into another dimension to fight people to the death. That was a real thing...
Remy just sat down pretty heavy on one of the sofas, rubbing his face. Might as well do so here. Everywhere else was full of people, too. He really needed a drink.

Delicately picking up the remote, he prodded it with his massive fingers flipping channels, till an image came up of a green turtle, as tall as a man and slicing a blond woman in half with a scythe. The blond woman was...oddly enough smiling like a lunatic, even as her upper body separated from the lower half.
"That turtle." Orc grumbled looking away, he had no desire to see that.

"Oh...," he mumbled, staring at the screen. "So," he cleared his throat, "That's what the arena's like, huh?"
Fun.

"When you're not wandering around lost and starving."
He hadn't starved as much in the arena, but he had been more lost then found.

It was a sarcastic question, but he had to ask just in case.

"Can't imagine they'd get many volunteers." He remarked trying to imagine what kind of sick freaks would want to do this sort of thing.
...Drake was the first one that came to mind.
"Do you fight?" He wondered.

"I don't even get ta pick the clothes to my own funeral? Now that's messed up."

"Last time I had to get dressed up, the painted all my cracks in gold."

... "Why?"

"They said it went with the theme. I dunno about that sort of stuff. There was a tiger killing and eating holographic versions of...well us. It was like that movie with the gladiators."

It was beyond cruel. It was just weird.

"I think if we stay here too long, we might be as crazy as they are."
