The Interviews.

WHO| ALL TRIBUTES
WHAT| Tribute Interviews With Caesar Flickerman!
WHEN| The break between the closing of Arena 02 and the opening of Arena 03
WHERE| A stage set up in the South Wing of the Training Center
NOTES| Interviews are done by district, in descending order (12-1; saving Max for the finale.) Just look for the thread that has been specifically made for you, and show the nation of Panem what a star you are! This is the companion post to last week's backstage post, which should be considered to be taking place at the same time, in-game. There is also an Intermission thread in the middle of all the individual threads, for everyone to tag around in; watch and react and have fun.
MORE NOTES| New tributes (if we get any) will be added as they are accepted.

This is it. Your time to shine.

The red curtain rises and the lights shine bright; warm on your face and halfway blinding. The music plays, blaring in your ears, mingling with the roar of the candy coloured crowd just beyond the stage. You can see your face projected on what seems to be a dozen screens as tall as houses and there's even a small undercurrent in the noise that sounds suspiciously like half a thousand strangers screaming your name.

The stage is simple. Glossy black, reflecting the stage lights and the shine of your shoes. At the center you find two plush red chairs, tall-backed and velvet, but one of them is empty. Waiting for you. In the other sits a man in a midnight blue suit and a straight white grin. His hair is a vivid aquamarine with eyebrows to match, and he stands just as someone backstage queues you to take your step out into the spotlight.

((no worries! it happens ^^ ))

She settles gingerly on the edge of the chair, her tail curling around her thigh and into her lap, though since she has the little toy pitchfork to occupy her hands, she manages not to fiddle with the spade on the end. They'd said to be chamring, to win over the crowd. Neeshka has never been charming-- not that she knows of, anyway-- and winning people over is a very new thing for her, usually accompanied by rescues and teasing, not being charming.

But she tries, despite being nervous and terribly embarrassed and feeling awfully exposed, and pulls up a kind of lop-sided smile. "I, um. Haven't really seen much of it yet! So I guess since the first thing I've seen is a bunch of people cheering at me, it must be pretty neat."

Unsure whether to be offended or pleased by being laughed at-- she wasn't really trying to be funny, after all-- Neeshka gives another nervous smile and looks around. Not that she can really see the people in the audience too well, not with the stage lighting, but it's an attempt, anyway.

The food, though, will definitely get her to wax verbose. She perks up a little and rolls her eyes skyward, as if the gods are looking down and she can look back at them in gratitude for good food. "Oh, are you kidding me? There's some of these sugary things on trays backstage? And they're probably the best thing I think I've ever tasted. We don't have anything like that back home."

"Oh!" Neeshka actually lights up a little, because really? Nobody asks her about herself or where she's from ever back home, so this is pretty exciting. "Well, I'm from Neverwinter, which is a big city on the Sword Coast. It's really pretty awesome, as long as you keep on the good side of the local thieves' guild. They can get kind of nasty. There's some priest temples and mage schools and such, but I usually kept away from those growing up." She flaps a hand to dismiss that. "Not worth it to try and break in."

She looks around with a slightly awed grin, at the lights and the technology, and adds, "Nothing there is like here, though. Nobody dresses like you people do here, the food is so different, and all the screens with pictures on them? Nobody bothers with wasting illusions on those kinds of things, you know? Might be neat if they did, though!" She can imagine it, anyway.

"Oh, definitely not," Neeshka nods, right back, looking a bit conspiratory. Just a bit, like she's sharing a secret with him, even though it's not much of a secret after this, and though nobody here seems to know what a tiefling is and that they're supposed to be sneaky and evil and bad luck, it's just habit to be mock-sneaky about her heritage. "I'm usually not somebody who likes to get noticed, you know? Because usually if I do, people are usually chasing me away. It's the horns and all, I guess."
