The Interviews.

WHO| ALL TRIBUTES
WHAT| Tribute Interviews With Caesar Flickerman!
WHEN| The break between the closing of Arena 02 and the opening of Arena 03
WHERE| A stage set up in the South Wing of the Training Center
NOTES| Interviews are done by district, in descending order (12-1; saving Max for the finale.) Just look for the thread that has been specifically made for you, and show the nation of Panem what a star you are! This is the companion post to last week's backstage post, which should be considered to be taking place at the same time, in-game. There is also an Intermission thread in the middle of all the individual threads, for everyone to tag around in; watch and react and have fun.
MORE NOTES| New tributes (if we get any) will be added as they are accepted.

This is it. Your time to shine.

The red curtain rises and the lights shine bright; warm on your face and halfway blinding. The music plays, blaring in your ears, mingling with the roar of the candy coloured crowd just beyond the stage. You can see your face projected on what seems to be a dozen screens as tall as houses and there's even a small undercurrent in the noise that sounds suspiciously like half a thousand strangers screaming your name.

The stage is simple. Glossy black, reflecting the stage lights and the shine of your shoes. At the center you find two plush red chairs, tall-backed and velvet, but one of them is empty. Waiting for you. In the other sits a man in a midnight blue suit and a straight white grin. His hair is a vivid aquamarine with eyebrows to match, and he stands just as someone backstage queues you to take your step out into the spotlight.

"I've been to almost all of them, actually." Led by the ear by her escort, made to play her part. But her smile stays fixed neatly, punctuated by her stylist's choice of bright lipstick. "And I've met some fascinating people. But truth be told, I've always wanted to meet a Gamemaker."

It's the truth, and she drops her voice a little, leaning closer to Caesar as she speaks it, as though she's sharing some secret with him. Arthur taught her once how to play along with things, how not to let a mark realise he was dreaming. It's almost the same principle.

"I'd love to get inside the mind of someone like that. Someone who builds all these Arenas for us. There's just so much detail that goes into them," she states, barely playing up her awe at all. She didn't need to; it was already there, her cheeks flushing a little from embarrassment. But at this point, it's easy to ignore the crowds and pretend she's just talking to Caesar.

She tips her head to one side, curiously regarding him. "So I've been told, at least. I've always liked to think so, and I haven't been proven wrong yet."

"If I told you, I'd have to kill you," Ariadne states with a hint of teasing behind her tone, true as it might be. She has no intention of sharing what she's been doing with anyone, least of all the entire Capitol. "I've been getting ready, though. Don't worry about that."

She smiles a little at that. She certainly does want to win, if it gets her out of the Arenas. She can think of slightly better methods of doing so, but that one would do.

Inclining her head a little to the audience's roar of approval, she gives them another modest little wave before returning her attention to Caesar, "I was studying architecture back in Paris. After being there for so long, it's nice to be in a new city, admiring new buildings like this."

"I certainly wouldn't mind it. Is there a lot of demand for it?" She asks, smiling a little bit brighter, tipping her head to one side. It was easy enough to play up a little innocence, pretend that she wasn't as capable of killing someone as a few of the more dangerous Tributes. It would make her easier to relate to, easier to like.

Ariadne shoots the audience another small smile, catching a glimpse of herself on one of the large screens, and waves again. It's surreal, really. She isn't used to this much attention, and it will be too soon before she can just go back to her normal life.

There certainly is the odd exciting thing about her life back home, but she doesn't want to admit it. Not to everyone, and not like this. So she ducks her head again, shaking it lightly in a fit of styled curls, "Nothing. I'm afraid I'm actually pretty boring outside of the Arena."

"Maybe you're right," she allows cheerfully enough, shifting in her chair. She doesn't like talking about herself at the best of times anyway; an interview like this isn't about to change that, but some concessions are to be made.

She tucks a curl behind her ear, ignoring that it bounces right back out again, "Something like the last Arena, actually. I was more used to the general terrain of it, though the heat was enough to kill someone before the Games even started." Ariadne offers a light laugh before continuing, "But I think my ideal Arena is probably a combination of the the last two we've seen: something with the cityscape of the last Arena combined with the foliage of the first. I like having places to hide, if I need them."

She offers Caesar a small, secretive sort of smile before shrugging one shoulder, "Truth be told, I've been spending as much time as I can studying the past Arenas." In between training, but she knows that they're not supposed to; she doesn't mention that. "It's helped less than I've hoped so far, but I plan on changing that."

"Honestly, I wouldn't have minded being in the second Quarter Quell. I think it would have been fascinating to go through some place as beautiful yet deadly as that, and with as many Tributes as there were. More people to use against each other," she smiled quietly. Innocently, though the comment was far from.
