NOTES| Interviews are done by district, in descending order (12-1; saving Max for the finale.) Just look for the thread that has been specifically made for you, and show the nation of Panem what a star you are! This is the companion post to last week's backstage post, which should be considered to be taking place at the same time, in-game. There is also an Intermission thread in the middle of all the individual threads, for everyone to tag around in; watch and react and have fun.

This is it. Your time to shine.

The red curtain rises and the lights shine bright; warm on your face and halfway blinding. The music plays, blaring in your ears, mingling with the roar of the candy coloured crowd just beyond the stage. You can see your face projected on what seems to be a dozen screens as tall as houses and there's even a small undercurrent in the noise that sounds suspiciously like half a thousand strangers screaming your name.

The stage is simple. Glossy black, reflecting the stage lights and the shine of your shoes. At the center you find two plush red chairs, tall-backed and velvet, but one of them is empty. Waiting for you. In the other sits a man in a midnight blue suit and a straight white grin. His hair is a vivid aquamarine with eyebrows to match, and he stands just as someone backstage queues you to take your step out into the spotlight.

Tate walks out in a sleek gray suit with orange highlights, a very stern and determined look on his face. He was counseled to take the "mysterious silent type" angle and lucky for him it all came very naturally. Hearing the crowd cheer his name brings a smirk to the corner of his lips. While he didn't often care much for the opinions of others, it would pay off to be liked here.

Tate b-lines for the seat across from Caesar and sits in a very casual manner. To act as if none of this phased him, that was what Tate was instructed and again, it really didn't phase him. With his blond hair falling in his eyes, Tate tosses his head to the side to brush it away as he leans against the arm of the chair.

Caesar sits, mimicking Tate's casual grace, not in a mocking kind of way but more as a non-verbal queue to the youthful blonde that cool and easy is a perfect direction for this to go.

"Welcome, Tate. It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

Tate nods to Caesar as he sits back in the posh seat. "Thank you, Ceasar," He says politely before cocking his head to the side curiously. "So are you named after the salad or the ruler?" Although Tate was well aware that he wasn't suppose to be the one asking the questions, he didn't much care for how it would look to the Capitol that he started this way.

His question almost leaves Caesar in tears. Laughing near hysterically, he pats the boy on the knee as he answers, "Well, my father insists that it was after the ruler. But sometimes, I wonder how true that is."

"But enough about me. You've been talk of the town for the last two Arenas. Should we be expecting anything exciting from you in Arena 03?"

"Probably just more of me killing other tributes." he speaks casually as if it were any other sport. "And well, killing more of them than anyone else so that I win this time." He turned towards the crowd and the cameras flashing a rather deviant look.

"That is the hope, isn't it," Caesar nonchalantly agrees. Because that is the entire point of the Hunger Games, after all. It's almost refreshing to see a kid who's got his blinder's off. Someone who's here to win and knows what it takes to do so.

"As a veteran tribute now, what would you say has been your best learning experiences from your previous arenas, going into this new one?"

Tate speaks more towards the crowd and cameras rather than directly to Caesar, "I think from the past arenas I learned who to trust, who to target and I've fine tuned my strategies to attack. Also how to make better weapons when the arena doesn't give you any." he cracks his knuckles as he speaks, "I learned to not be afraid to die so you're more likely to do what needs to be done to win."

"Ah, those are definitely important things to have learned," Caesar nods. "Speaking of who to trust though, we all enjoyed your alliance with the District 4 tribute of last arena, Kevin Khatchadourian. Does it sadden you that he won't be making a return this next round?"

"Kevin was very skilled," Tate nodded slowly. "But does it sadden me?" He cocked his head to the side, eyeing the host as if suspecting Caesar was hinting at something. "It disappoints me that such a great killer was taken from the arena in which he was so well suited to be in."

He paused, as if realizing what else was being asked underlying this. "However it doesn't concern me for the next arena."

"Well, it's good to know you're going into this with a clear head. Something sponsors are surly going to love hearing!" Caesar insists.

"Speaking of love.... you're a handsome lad. Are special ladies missing you back home right now?"

Tate grinned at the word 'sponsors' looking out at the many faces he could barely see, thanks to the bright lights, looking back at him.

"Not that I know of," He hadn't met a girl he liked in quite some time. With that said, he was also dead and a ghost back home and therefore didn't really get out much. However the new families moving in and out of the house sometimes brought girls his age he could talk to. However he doubted anyone at home even noticed he was gone outside of maybe his sister, Addie. "But that leaves me the opportunity to live a little more here." he pauses and cracks a smile that releases a chuckle. "I mean, when I'm not busy dying."

Caesar gives a small chuckle at that, because it seemed more appropriate to do so than to not. He's never really been one to joke about the inevitable death that awaits the overwhelming majority of his interviewees since that seemed in bad taste. So he smiles and focuses back on the talk of girls, "Well, maybe luck will find you. Certainly if you win this next arena, you should have your pick of any girl you want. Isn't that right, ladies?"

A shrill sound of a thousand screaming girls fills the room and Caesar's smile becomes more genuine, once again.

Tate goes along with the pitch and smiles out at the crowd, basking in the admiration of these screaming girls. He could play the teen-heartthrob angle. Even if what he did in the arena was anything but.

"I'll try my damnedest." he said with confidence, his eyes taking on a charged eagerness that he displayed to the crowd. "If only for that special girl."
