The Crowning of Albert Wesker

Who| Everyone in the Capitol.
What| The Crowning Ceremony
Where| The Victor's Complex
When| Day of the Crowning
Warnings/Notes| None yet.

The theme of the ceremony is clearly black and red. A crimson carpet stretches out across the room. The long table for feasting seems to be made of a single slab of dark obsidian, something that couldn't possibly be found in this size naturally. The chairs are wrought iron with red cushions, and embers burn under personal barbecues at each seat. Red wine, red juice, slabs of red meat to be cooked (or eaten raw) - the details are all perfected. Even some of the Avoxes have received black tattoos for the occasion, the number '11' permanently marking under their eyes like grotesque twin tears.

For a crowning, the ceremony is rather intimate. Only a handful of guests have been invited: the usual Capitol VIPs, the Mentors of each District, and a few of the stars of the last few Games. Karis Needleteeth, Aunamee, Dr. Alastor Grey, Alpha, Lindsey McDonald and Hyperion Crius each have a seat at the table. A few Peacekeepers sit off to the side, sipping wine. A few of the Mentors are conspicuously missing.

And Wesker's throne sits at the head of the table; it's made of the head of the dragon that destroyed so much of Disneyland and slaughtered so many Tributes. The head has been dried, the tongue replaced with a plush velvet seat and back the color of blood. The eyes have been replaced with glass that stares at each side of the room. The fangs, however, remain intact.

Downstairs, the rest of the Tributes and their Escorts and Stylists can partake in a more Disney-themed affair. Everything is still sleek, and tends to veer more towards Maleficent and Jafar then Cinderella and Ariel, but the punch bowl is Mickey Mouse-shaped. There's a dance floor, and a string quartet, and all sorts of lavish foods on tables with red cloth. It's a night for mingling, at least.

[OOC Note: Part one of this is going up tonight in the first two subthreads. Part two will be edited into the last two subthreads tomorrow evening; you'll see why. Go forth and mingle! Tributes from downstairs can go say hello to the Victor, although they won't get long before the Peacekeepers escort them back down.]

Holiday glared at the woman, but nothing more. She continued to stand where she was, just waiting and daring for Calico to make the first move. At least she could give the other woman a bit of a break, though. At least she was still standing up to her. Then again, they've both been through the arena and one of them actually won.

Holiday thought for a moment that maybe she should fear Calico for that thought alone, but she didn't.

Calico glared right back at Holiday. WOW this woman was stubborn.
She had hoped that the shoe threat would work. But nope.
Slowly, she took off her other shoe, essentially arming herself with two very thin, relatively dangerous stilettos.

"You know what? You BLOODY tributes, imported from the hell knows where to fight in this DAMN Never Ending Quell? I am bloody SICK of this whole damn shebang. I am bloody SICK of your damn attitudes. And you, I am DAMN sick of yours. Now - one last chance before - before I bash your face in and with hold ALL sponsorship - BED."

She was so fedd up - damn cocky tributes. If Ariadne... then Eva... and Calico. ARGH. Too much. And now she had to deal with someone stropping off. And for no good reason. Who had been betrayed here? Shouldn't SHE be the one bashing the place up?

Bash her face in? Bash her face in?

Holiday had the quick thought about her nanites. She wondered how many she had infected in the arena, if the Gamemakers and Capitol found them early on and long since removed them, if maybe she could be a really heartless bitch and use them for her.

"Try it," she growled. This wasn't the time or place to think about another outbreak, but it was something to think about when one of those Capitol hussies was threatening to beat her with a shoe.

"Fine."

Calico gritted her teeth, and closed her eyes and swung her right heel at Holiday's face. Hopefully it made contact.

She was beyond caring now; let them yell at her if Holiday had a bashed up face.

She closed her eyes. Are they absolutely sure this woman won in the arena?

Holiday grabs the shoe, though not soon enough as it scratches her cheek pretty roughly, before trying for another punch at the woman's face.

Calico howled as her nose crunched with Holiday's latest punch.

"That FUCKING HURT." She recoiled, once more clutching her bloody nose.

"NO SPONSORSHIP!"

"I'll be sure to cry myself to sleep tonight over it."

She probably would, honestly, but it wouldn't be over the damn sponsors.

"BED. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!"

Calico howled once more, and made to push Holiday much more firmly to her room.

"And don't even THINK about bloody coming out until the morning!"

"I'LL DO WHAT I DAMN WELL PLEASE!" she screamed back. There was no way, after all of that, that Holiday was going to do anything that would please this woman.
