There had been bigger things to worry about during the arena-- trying to put the thing together, mainly, even if that had crashed and burned-- and even if there wasn't, he didn't want to have the conversation where it would be broadcasted for this entire country to see. It's bad enough that the ones in charge can listen in.

Maybe it would be better to not speak to her, to just let it go, but the scientist in him, the one that never knows when to quit, the one who just wants to know, leads him here. He stands awkwardly in the District 11 suite, trying not to look too out of place as he raises a hand to give Peggy a wave.

"Enjoying the future?" he asks so he doesn't have to broach the topic he's really here for.

"It's bright," she answers with a wry smile and a dry tone. Peggy gestures for him to come in further and sit down with her. There are no private places and there's simply no hiding from prying eyes. It was almost foolish to try.

"How are you, Dr. Banner?"

"That's an understatement," he says with a glance around the room (especially out the windows; he's used to the bright lights and bustle of a city, but never one with so much chrome and television) like he's just seeing it now. He sits with a small smile as a thanks-for-offering, playing with his glasses in his hand despite his casual demeanor.

"Good, good-- alive, like everyone." Thankfully. That last week, with Barton and Tony-- but they were fine now, and that was just as disorienting. "I've been trying to look at some of the history of this place, to see how this all... well, you know, they've got plenty of old records of the games." What he really wanted to know was why, or how, not watch tons of children die permanently. But looking into Panem's history was stalled out, so he might as well start looking into his own. Which he'd get to, really. Eventually.
