Who| Pepper Potts, anyone
What| Training, and around town
Where| everywhere
When| Pre arena
Warnings/Notes| Teen Pepper need I say more?

1)
Pepper's at least trying to get the hang of things, though really in training when it comes to hand to hand combat... She's ending up on the ground more often than the trainer.

At least she's not giving up that's a good sign right?  Pointers may be needed.

2)
Despite getting her rear handed to her... Pepper's slipped out of the training center to clear her head for a little bit.  She's determined to find a place that makes something that could pass as a Coney dog in the Capitol.  So far... well okay they at least have sausage, and on rolls, it's not perfect but it works.  Though she's not sure she can eat the rainbow colored fries in front of her.  That's just.... Unnatural!

Care to interrupt her lunch?

3)
Evening and Pepper's up on the roof looking out over the city.  The tall skyscrapers remind her a little of home, even though they're so alien.  She sits on a bench, twisting the band on her wrist a little.  She's debating watching the network for a bit, but the silence around her's not that bad.

Feel free to strike up a conversation.

These people seemed to have no shame when it came to who they pulled to their city, to their world. Peggy sat beside the girl, looking up and off into the distance.

"How long have you been here?"

"I suspect things aren't quite what they seem. I'm not terribly certain we're truly missing." It was a thin comfort, but she was well aware that she existed in her own timeline's future so either she returned home or there was more to this madness that they weren't aware of yet.

"And you're right, this certainly isn't New York."

Peggy tucked a strand of wayward hair behind her ear.

"You're luckier than you might think. They chose to draw you here and let you adjust, ask questions, make some allies if you could and didn't simply drop you into a game."

She sighed and her lips quirked. "I'm Peggy."

"I wasn't terribly fortunate." Except in the parts where she was. And those nearly made up for being here. If she let herself forget where she was and why, they were by far the best thing to happen to her in a year.

"The Tony you mentioned," Peggy wet her lips. You are much, much younger than she imagined you might be. She's uncertain what that may mean. "You wouldn't happen to be talking about Anthony Stark would you?"

"As well as I can given the circumstances. I think he's as lost and unhappy as the rest of us." That made better sense. It also made her wonder just how that brief meeting had gone. "I knew his father very well. Both are brilliant and exasperating."

Howard. And there was the exasperation, only not as fond as it once might have been. The things she was slowly learning didn't sit well with the friend she once knew.

Peggy chuckled softly and shook her head. "It's fine."

If she had been looking for actual quiet she would have gone back inside and locked herself in her room. "It likely wasn't any easier on him."'She paused. "The Academy?"

"He's a hard personality to swallow." She tucked away that throw away tidbit about Pepper's aptitude with technology, not for one moment doubting it would come in handy later. "And this is supposedly a school for gifted youth? You would think they'd be better prepared to handle all levels of intelligence. You must miss him."

"It's upsetting." They had fought so hard, so bloody hard, for these people to live in a time of peace and it was absolutely squandered away. Hundreds of years or not there was something to be said about history repeating itself.

"An unbiased report of what happened is hard to come by, but I'm willing to bet it would be worth uncovering."
