Ain't Like We Grew Up Together or Nutin'
Who| Gavroche and Eponine; otherwise OPEN
What| The Siblings find each other again after their experiences in the Arena.
Where| The park
When| Now ish? Except during the day
Warnings/Notes| Erm, none so far,
He had finally gotten out of that bloody suit, though the other clothes they had out for him weren't much better. Honestly, aen't no one wear any decent fings in this place? His trousers stopped at his knees, his shirt had no collar an' short sleeves, an' his shoes were all fabric and had sticky things that made a ripping noise to hold them shut. To be fair, he had had fun seeing if he could annoy people with the noise, but it had gotten boring and now he was out for a wander, wondering what it was he would find in the Capitol. He hadn't had much of a chance to explore, last time, but this time he was going to make a map of the place in his head.
Just in case.

But today, the sunlight had lured her, and she found herself wandering through the Capitol towards the park. It was strange, this aimless wandering. But, lost in thought - thought of Howard, of Marius back at home - she walked straight into Gavroche.
"I am sorry, Monsi-"
She stopped short when she realised who she had banged into.
"Gavroche! You are still here!"

Eponine crosses her arms across herself, self consciously. She had almost kidded herself that nothing had changed, but... Her tone with her little brother is sharp. She doesn't want any more pestering.
"Anyway, I didn't mean to bang you. I was thinking. You should have moved."

He looks at her again, eyes narrowing, before growing wide. "Here, why's your chest all big?"

Already, she's walking away. She is NOT going to have that conversation. It's something that she just CANNOT deal with. Better not to acknowledge it at all.

"If you do not be quiet RIGHT NOW, Gavroche, I... I will not look out for you again."
Her face is of thunder; she is SO angry with her little brother. Why will he not leave her alone?

She admits it grumpily. "I thought you'd be cross with me when I died, so I thought... But then..."
Then they had changed her, the Capitol.
"They did it. Valeria or someone. I do not know, Gav... I just woke up and - "
She shrugs. Eponine is clearly upset about it. "Now, not another word, brother."

He opened his mouth to say something else, but then he saw the look on her face, and closed it.

This is a much better turn of conversation.
"They're the people who live here. They keep you alive in the arena and send you food. But you have to make them like you... I am not very good at that."
no subject
He considers this. "Would that be why they stuck me in a 'orrible suit meant to look like some sort of animal?"
no subject
She shrugs. She didn't understand either. "Since when did you listen to them preachers anyway? They ain't for the likes of us."
At his question she shrugs again. "They like to dress us here; they dress me always in magic lights - in my dresses and my hair, always. It is nice to have new clothes though."

"Don't exactly listen to them," Gavroche admits, "but hear fins here an' there." He had gotten good at listening. Picking up the right thing could get the right price from the right person.
"They cut me hair," he sulks. "And took away me rosette!"
