[OPEN]

Who| The Psiioniic, the other trolls, and YOU! It might lean heavily towards trolls, but anyone is welcome to join them!
What| Watching the final week of the Games.
Where| The Training Center common area.
When| Final week!
Warnings/Notes| Trolls everywhere. And also mentions of violence, death, and etc in passing.

It's probably not unusual for people to group together and watch the violence unfolding. The Psiioniic certainly doesn't see why it would be strange, and he looks remarkably unimpressed as a recap plays some especially gory scenes. He seems to be prepared for a crowd, with plates of food nicked from the District 2 suites scattered around him. He even prepared a sign for his little shindig:

Of course, most people won't be able to read the sign, and do you even know how long it took him to find a marker even close to the proper shade of yellow? Too long, that's what. But now he's prepared for the final cullwatch, and ready to spend time with members of his species. And people who might be curious as to what the hell he's scrawled on the sign.

(You would think something like "fiinal cullwatch" is pretty self-explanatory, but you could never be sure with aliens.)

He would be so unhappy to see it again, falling into his own trap was humiliating, even if he did manage to kill someone else first. Seeing it play out again and again is just rubbing salt in his wounds. Not that the Capitol is above that sort of behavior.

"So long as we are feasting to better luck next round and not at the joy of watching corpses pile up, I will drink with thee."

"Do I look like the sort to mope?" There's always a smile on Bert's face, or something close to one.

Of course, that's perfect timing for his own ill timed end to come up and he gets to watch with a sour look on his face while he kills Sherlock and then falls into the trap he dug.

"Damn waste for a perfectly good trap if you ask me."
tis_allgood: (He may not shame such tender love)

"So it did."

He sighs and shakes off the last of his bad feelings about the whole thing. He is talking to Psiioniic for a reason, and it didn't entirely involve the sign and the cullings.

"But I will argue that moping over the loss of a life is more valid than moping over the return of an old friend. I will stop being sour and embrace the chance I've been given to try again. How about thee?"
tis_allgood: (I did turn as he pointed)

The laughter is something he is, sadly, used to.

"If you mean that there are those here more aware of our movements than they ought to be, I'm well aware. You are not looking at a fool, no matter what you may have heard."

He considers the implication for a moment.

"Is that the reason you don't wish to reconcile with Sai Signless? You are afraid that it will be a matter of public knowledge?"

"He is a friend of mine and my conthern is for his well being. Helping thee with whatever your general issue is happens to be a bonus that you should be grateful for."

Actually, he's helping because he wants to prove to Karkat that you can get what you want without being a huge jerk about it. But he does like Signless and if this is what's best for him in a weird troll way, who was Cuthbert to stand in the way of it?
tis_allgood: (I did turn as he pointed)

That actually takes Cuthbert back a bit.

"Is that his name? I know your kind have odd names by my standards but that sounds... ominous."

He's not even mocking anymore, he's genuinely curious about Signless, and this might be a good way to learn more.
tis_allgood: (What else should he be set for?)

[personal profile] tis_allgood 2013-06-03 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"That is not a detail easily shared, even if you seem unafraid to throw it about."

There's more than a little defensiveness in that statement. He's hurt that he didn't know this about Signless if it was really something so important. But he also isn't sure if the Helmsman should be talking about it if Signless himself isn't comfortable with it. Well done, Cuthbert, you've talked yourself into another wonderful jam.
tis_allgood: (He might be dead for aught I know)

"I am quite clearly not one of your people."

Bert put his hands on his hips in frustration. He didn't like being strung along like this. Especially by someone he thought he had the upper hand on not too long ago.

"Tell me or don't, but do not tease me with things I could hardly know of."

"You would not last long in In World either." And he is almost proud of that. He's seen people sent West for not being good enough to stay in Gilead and he has no doubt that most of the trolls would be right there with them.

But the levity doesn't last, considering the story he hears.

"What an awful way to die. Can you not simply hang a man like a civilized society would?"

Of course, he's heard of just as bad, if not worse. Charyou Tree, Come, Reap

[personal profile] tis_allgood 2013-06-08 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"The best of the civilized world lies there, including Gilead, the crown jewel of the world. You would be honored to even walk through the gates."

That touched a sore spot and Bert is quick to defend himself.

"Don't they know the worse you treat a man the more the people champion him? And you thought your society was intelligent."
tis_allgood: (Must be wicked to deserve such pain)

[personal profile] tis_allgood 2013-06-13 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"I lived there, grew up there, someday I will die in its service."

Bert rolls his eyes at that last part.

"I doubt that stops anyone from speaking of him. Although, you must be lucky, even if you did say his name none would understand you so well as to know what you were saying and you would get away with it."
tis_allgood: (I guessed what skull-like laugh)

[personal profile] tis_allgood 2013-06-14 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not if I have anything to say about it. I intend to die an old man, surrounded by my many wives and children."

That's an exaggeration, but there's no reason for him to tell the troll that.
tis_allgood: (Must be wicked to deserve such pain)

"It's what we call a woman who is bound to us for her whole life or ours. A wife. I intend to have many."

He's just going to peacock himself for now. Why not?
