Who| Gavroche and OPEN
What| Getting used to being alive again
Where| Training Centre.
When| A few days after his death in the arena
Warnings/Notes| Erm, none so far but probably talk of a small child dying so, there's that to be considered.
He'd woken up in a big bed. He'd never been in such a big bed before, so he wasn't so sure what was going on when he found himself in one. It was a little ... what was that word he'd heard Courfeyrac use once? .... Disconcerting, that was the boy. He looked around the room, a little confused. He wasn't entirely sure how he'd gotten back here. After all, last he remembered he was scouting for stuff in the arena and then ... well, then nothing.
He slid out of the bed, catching sight of himself in a nearby mirror. Someone had washed and cut his hair, leaving it in a neat little cut that somehow made him look younger than he was. He was also in some weird all in one suit type thing, that covered his feet, leaving soft little noises as he walked around. There was a hat thing attached to it, with a face on it, Gavroche pulled it up to inspect it in the mirror, before quickly shoving it down again.
He made his way out of his room. Maybe he could find someone to tell him what was going on.

"This whole place is crazy, but they were born and raised here so to them it's all normal and we're the weird ones."

"Better then where I came from. The adults gave up their freedom out of fear. They thought it would be better if they gave all the power to the people in charge so they could protect us. But they were wrong."

"Come on." She gestured he should follow and led the way to the elevator. Conversation like this would require food.
"In my world there were people with powers. Powers that made them stronger then normal humans. Better then normal humans. And some of them used their powers selfishly. For evil wicked things. And that scared the humans."
Reaching the elevator she pushed the button.
"But there were some people with powers who used them for good. To stand up to the bullies and the selfish people. To protect the weak. But even though they did that the humans were still scared. So they banded together to take everyone with powers and lock them away forever."

"So ... if they used their powers fer good, how comes they got runs out of town?"

The doors open and she led the way inside. Pushing the button for one of the lower levels she leaned against the wall to wait.

"So ... what happens now?"
no subject
"Now, we wait. We can train, or just relax. We have to go to parties every now and then to make people like us. But eventually they're gonna shove us in another arena."

Leading the way out of the elevator they were in a bar. She took the boy to the bar and ordered two of something called a "Fizzberry twist." The bartender returned with two glasses of a clear fizzy drink with purple liquid in the bottom and slices of fruit on the rim.
Passing one of the two drinks to the boy she sat on her stool and looked thoughtful.
"A few people have told me it's possible to win just by running and hiding and letting the others kill each other. Or letting one of the traps of the arena gets them."

"So how'd you die then? You obviously didn't win."

"Got garrotted" Gavroche gestured a finger across his throat.

"I got killed by the guy who won. Which is funny because he told me he would early on in arena. I didn't think he'd ever get the chance."
no subject
"...He told you early on he'd be the onee ta kill ya? How'd he know that?"
no subject
"Then I just got unlucky and ran into him."
no subject
"Sounds like he's all talk ta me. 'Cept when he filled the talk."
