He had left a message wanting to see her after he had slipped out to see if he could find something that would help cheer Parker up.  In the box were assorted chocolate truffles... 

Chris was waiting on the roof, looking over the Capitol waiting for her, hoping that Parker would show up.  He had been an ass to her and really wanted to make things right.  Hopefully the chocolates would be a step in the right direction.

Quite likely. Chocolate and Parker only work for her.

Friends is still a strange concept. Sure, she's practiced brunch, but something regular? Someone who isn't on the team, and thus will not know the ins and outs of the language which is Parker.

Chris had to laugh at that question. "Sure just tell me your favorites and after the next Arena I'll get you more how's that?"

"Well you're easy to shop for then." He laughed, only to laugh harder at her suggestion.

"Don't you think that would get us into a little trouble. Not that I don't mind the idea. Some of these people deserve it."

"Why are you shopping for me?" Have a confused bird look.

"Only way to be in trouble is to get caught. Don't get caught." She may be wanted in 9 countries, but they've never caught her.

"I don't hide as well as you do. So, if we get in trouble and I tell you to run do it okay? I'd hate for you to get hurt because of me."

"Why look for stuff I like? I can get it myself."

She shrugs and moves a little toward the edge. While she's thinking of jumping, it's in no way depressing. Parker's already worked out several ways down, each one more dramatic than the previous one.

"Can do more than hide. Gotta know where, and when to run." Best when no one's looking -- as obvious as it sounds. She's been known to vanish as quick as a breath.

"Yeah well, you're still quicker on your feet than I am."

"Quicker on my feet than anyone I know: and elevator shafts, roofs, definitely driving."

She could continue that list.

And in combat situations... well he's the same way.

"Sometimes two. Sometimes three but not for a long time." Parker was a neighbourhood tricycle thief at one of her foster homes.

"Yeah three wheeler's aren't as stable as ATV's." Hey Chris doesn't think she was a thief that young. He likes to think she was innocent at one point. He thinks the same about Jill too.
