'Cause we all wanna party when the funeral ends and we all get together when we bury our friends

Who| TYP Children and You?
What| TYP Children have the opportunity to look around.
Where| The Tribute Tower main floor.
When| Now through the week leading up to the arena.
Warnings/Notes| TYP children showing up early is not mandatory. This is merely an avenue for those NPC players who were interested.

In part with the President’s wishes, the District children are not training or living in the same building, but rather, a refurbished old Tribute tower as was used in the days before Tributes were offworlders of vast number. Mentors, Escorts, and Stylists alike will need to travel to the new building to work with them, then travel back to see to their offworld Tributes. Public appearances are minimal so long as the Tribute is kept busy with training and private interviews. There is, however, a brief chance to meet a few of them before the arena, should you catch them on a visit to the offworlder’s tower, restricted to the main floor. Through this, the lucky few District children able to show are allowed fleeting glimpses in person of those they will be competing with and possibly even a chance to talk to them in person.

He's not really bothered at all with the familiarity -- it's a lot easier to deal with, quite frankly. So Mollusc greets him, and Chuck tips his head in response, crouching down to be more on Mollusc's level. He's far more patient with one of his own kids, those who understand this world, who he doesn't have to explain every minute detail to. And Mollusc has -- well, he's not trained, he would have mentioned it, and the Careers of old weren't necessary.

Not that he hadn't known kids who'd trained, or been trained, full of an ingrained fear and wariness of this very moment.

So, Chuck listens, mouth curving up with a wry smile at Mollusc's words. Chuck has to be very careful, there's enough attention on him and his coworkers lately, but he likes the kid's sass.

"Unfortunately." He says, amused, leaning back on his haunches as he thinks. It's not all that much to work with, but it's enough. With Sponsors, with luck, Mollusc is more prepared to handle this than most of the Offworlder Tributes were -- and he knows exactly the costs of what awaits him. "Spear?"

It's common, and more so, they're easy enough to make in the Arena if it allows. Plus, he's a bit biased here, a fishing spear was his weapon of choice in his own Arena.

This feels more right, in a lot of ways, than talking to even the most understanding of Offworlders. It's a face he knows and has been trained to trust, and that really means taking on a lot of affection he's been withholding until now. Stingy and mistrustful, he's smiling a little more freely, feeling like he might actually have a chance if he listens to a Victor who's proven himself to be worth his salt.

He nods vigorously. "Not the best in 4, probably, but I'm really good with it," he's quick to inform. "I could definitely give anyone not from 4 a run for their money."

Well, Mollusc is certainly one of the easier Tributes he's had in that manner. It's easier when your Tribute listens, when they actively try to take your advice. Something in him relaxes at the answer, a thoughtful hum in his voice. Skill isn't always everything, as evidence by half the Victors still living in the Capitol. Luck, determination, and Sponsors had a whole lot to do with it too.

Chuck's had more than enough Careers under his Mentorship, didn't mean they made it back.

"Good," He nods, "We'll focus on that, then. You know how to fight?"

Mollusc grins cheekily. "I've gotten in a few fights in my District," he says, voice proud, standing up a little straighter. "Usually win. Just because I'm not particularly big for my age doesn't mean I'm not strong."

His expression goes slightly more somber.

"I'll do what I have to, but I don't really want to kill other kids. Other Tributes for that matter. They're not my enemies, you know?"
