I know there’s nothing left worth staying for
Who| Aang and Open
What| Aang is putting origami things fucking everywhere. This is the best way to handle feelings.
Where| All the Districts except D4.
When| Post interviews
Warnings/Notes| Self-prescribed art therapy.
Origami everywhere.
On the counters, the tables, on the backs of chairs, everywhere. Cranes, flowers, owls, dragons, swans, weird six-legged bison things, bow ties, all kinds of origami. They're placed around quickly and quietly and all at once, so a person can go into their room for five minutes just to come out and see their District covered.
If they're really quick on the draw, they may see a little boy with arrow tattoos placing the last of them. They're more likely to see the boy before he puts the origami everywhere, when he's hidden on top of the fridge and working on folding all his origami. He's just out of sight enough to be hard to spot if one isn't looking, but occasionally a little pale foot with an arrow tattoo dangling over the edge, either while he's working on folding or when he's taking a fitful nap.

"Is that meant to be some kind of joke?"

He peers over the edge of the fridge, settling his chin on his hands and frowning at her. She doesn't seem to like one of his wolf origami. She seems to dislike it enough to throw it, actually.
"What's wrong with it?"
It can't be about bad folding or something. People don't throw things like that because they don't look nice.

"The Direwolf is the sigil of my House. Back home."

"I don't know what a direwolf is." He puts his chin in his hands and a little understanding comes to his face. She thought he was trying to say something about her, maybe? "We don't even have wolves where I come from, but I figured out how to make them out of origami since I came here. I'm sorry you didn't like it."

"Thanks." He watches her poke at it, wishing he knew what to say. "I can teach you how to make it. Or I could show you how to make something else."

It makes him smile. The word feels odd in his mouth, but it also feels good. "Ever heard of a saber tooth moose lion?"

He pauses for a moment, gathering himself, then jumps off the fridge like a spider monkey. Papers rain down with him, but he catches them by twisting around in place once he's landed, gathering them up in one hand. "They're giant animals, bigger than pine trees."

Aang slowly folds over one corner, watching to make sure she does the same in the right way before folding it again. "It's folding paper with precision. That's how my teacher described it."
