The Tribute Youth Programme: July
Who| Adults who act as chaperones on the field trips. Any Tribute character aged 18 and under. This is ICly Mandatory for Tributes under 18 so your character will be there even if you don't tag in.
What| July's TYP round; Summer School Blues, field trips, and more...
Where| A private school building within the Capitol, a waterpark, a zoo.
When| Regular school hours (8 AM to 3 PM) four days a week (Monday-Thursday)
WARNINGS| Mind-altering juice boxes, indoctrination. Place any needed warnings within comment headers.
NOTES| If you would like your character to be caught trouble-making, please contact mods. We are looking for both Mentors to speak of the District they hail from (or represent), and Capitolite characters to talk of Panem's greatness. If you would like your character to stand as a guest speaker for the next round, please refer to this post. The fantastic Tribute Youth Programme uniforms are designed and drawn by Reiko.
The Tribute Youth Programme is back in full force. The Teacher missed you all!
Class will go much like it did before, anthems, uniforms, and all. By now the new badges should all be sewn right in. You still have the opportunity to earn more, and on top of all this, your letter replies have at last come in! Along with all the (questionably subsisting) pet bats promised of Panem Nightly.
This time is extra special, however, for there is a secret surprise planned for next month that the Teacher is preparing for. Something about partners for tents and canoes? Whatever that means. Maybe if you sign up early you'll get a partner you like. And perhaps asking among the adults if any would like to chaperone for the mystery trip.
As for this current trip, those who earned the bonus will get a free ride around the park on one of the elephants, front row seats to a live performance in the aquarium area, and a custom photo souvenir with their favourite animal.

have an existential crisissort his thoughts. So he nods without saying anything more about it, and instead turns his attention to the kiddie slide and pool."Wanna try it?"
He's already taking the steps that lead down into the pool. At its deepest, the water barely reaches up to waist-level on him, but it's still plenty to buffer the landings of the kids throwing themselves into it. Said kids continue to scream and splash around him, and when he turns back to look at Vivi, one throws an inflatable beach ball at his head — something he sees from his peripheral vision and catches without thinking.
"Don't gotta go on the rides," he says easily as he moves to sit on one of the steps, batting the beach ball toward Vivi. "Some people just like bein' in the water." It's hard to tell whether it's inexperience or something worse that makes Vivi seem wary of the water, so he won't push the matter too hard.

"The water feels nice." Who doesn't like a warm bath? And what little reflexes Vivi has is just enough for him to bat the ball back towards Daryl, although not far enough for the other man to hit it unless he extended his reach. He looks up at the colorful flumes above, with muffled screams of joy (he thinks) of people having a fun time sliding their way down to a larger body of water.
"They sound like they're having fun..." He'll admit to himself that he's curious about it. "Can we try the ones with the floats?"

"Rick's got a crap assignment today, might be late gettin' home," he mentions as they walk, trying to keep the annoyance from his voice. Probably best if Vivi's spared the grisly details of what they're sometimes required to do as Peacekeepers — it rarely encompasses things like this, a benign visit to the water park.
"Means I'm in charge of dinner. Feel like sesame buns tonight? I can order some and pick 'em up on my way home." The ones from the Training Center restaurant may not be exactly like those that Vivi used to make with his grandfather, but in Daryl's opinion they're good. Not that he has anything to compare them with, but still.
