Who: Nux and OPEN
What: Alive is good....maybe? Having no money is...what is money?
Where: District 8 common area and training
Warnings: TBD?
A: DIstrict 6 Common Area:
Nux is probably hard to see, because he's sitting on the floor. Because, yeah, what is furniture? They didn't have that in the Citadel. Even cars had most of their seats stripped out, except for the driver's.
He misses driving, but after a few pokes at the tv remote, he's figured out what it does. And so he's found a racing show--sure they're not cars, but they're racing around that track for sure--while he's gotten a toaster dismantled into pieces between his legs.
B: Training Room
He's feeling waaaay better than he probably has a right to feel. Especially, you know, after being killed and all. By a little girl! He always KNEW females were weird, but, yeah, didn't see that one coming! So he's on the far side of the punching bags, where he can view anyone coming in, noticeably trying to avoid anyone of the female persuasion, as he shifts between punching the bag and throwing knives. They're not quite lances or thundersticks, but they're close enough, he figures.
"Be better if they exploded, though," he muses, heading down range to retrieve them. Because, well, anything's better if it explodes.
C: Random Wandering In the City
Yeah, the City kind of weirds Nux out. It's so big. And there's like...open space. And there's shops, which are places that sell things! Things like...stuff he's never seen before! Like apple peelers and spaghetti tongs and....boxer underwear and big foil packets filled with air and something called 'potato chips' and little things that play music...the way he stops and stares into shop windows, or at people, it's probably really easy to run smack into six foot four of pasty War Boy.
Or, conversely, having him run into an innocent bystander as he runs out of a shop, hands full of plunder. Paying for stuff? Wh-what's that?

"If you want to get out of this unscathed, you'll stop fighting."
no subject
Well, except little girls and head choppy things. He might be a little, well, averse to those.
In short: he's not stopping fighting. "Get your hands off my snacks!"

Ermac grabs the man's wrists and pulls him to his feet. The Peacekeepers were probably on their way by now, so he needed to act fast.
"Stop fighting, and you might walk away from this!"
no subject
He tries to jerk his wrists free, but, dammit, it's that length of chain wadded up around his right wrist, tripping him up again. Still, he manages a good Indignant Face. "I was doing fine running!"
no subject
"You're being watched, boy. There is nowhere to run."
Under normal circumstances, he'd let the boy meet his fate. It was no skin off his nose, after all. But the capitol simultaneously unnerved and irritated him with the amount of control Snow seemed to have over everything, and denying the Peacekeepers the chance to take down a petty criminal and likely Tribute felt good. It wasn't a true act of rebellion, but at least it was something.

"So what are you gonna do? Bring me in for some reward?" You better be ready for this absolutely vicious shin kick Nux is going to throw with that last word.
no subject
"No, we are saving you, boy."
It might look more like an arrest than a rescue, he had to admit, but how else was he supposed to get this fool to listen?
"Leave the food. It's not worth bringing the Peacekeepers down on yourself."
no subject
"But I'm hungry!" And he's now afraid to touch stuff in the kitchen. Long story. "And I can handle any Peacekeepers!" This is Nux stnading up to his full height. IMPRESSIVE, no? Or would be if, well, he wasn't Nux.
no subject
He drags Nux into an alley, well away from the stolen food.
"They are armed. You are not. Why didn't you get something from your kitchen?"
no subject
"I can fight, though, friend!" He can! Really. Whatever you saw on the Arena stuff wasn't fair. Because. Uh. Reasons. "And the lady with all the, you know," how do you gesture 'cleavage' with one hand? That. Yeah. "She told me they owned everything in the kitchen."
no subject
He tugs Nux into the alley, tossing him a little unceremoniously against a wall and making sure to block his escape.
"They outnumber you, and have weapons."

WHAT it is an important question. Two War Boys can't agree on anything. He can't imagine a thousand of them trying to decide something.
"Yeah, well, I can die just as good here!" Wait. NO.
no subject
When your creator is also your Emperor, and more than capable of destroying you, you accept whatever name he gives you.
"What would you be dying for?"
Noble deaths were a fine thing, but dying over a few snacks seemed...lacklustre.
no subject
But that's a good point. "Fighting, uh...for freedom?" Yeah that sounds pretty uncertain. Don't ask hard questions! War Boys die--it's what they DO! They certainly don't, you know, philosophizize.
no subject
What a bizarre name. Still, Ermac frowns at Nux's response.
"We fail to see how stealing snacks furthers the cause of freedom. Your sacrifice would not be understood or remembered."
