She begrudgingly allows him to pull back and she betrays herself by bringing a sleeve up to wipe her eyes from the stinging sissywater that was threatening to slip out.

"Something in my eye." She lied and then grinned at him.

"This one will go better then the jailbreak I bet." She added trying to sound encouraging. "Then again, I escaped during that mess when a bunch of others didn't so that worked out OK for me." A weak laugh. An attempt at being light hearted and brave. Cocky even.

But it was hard to be cocky knowing that a very large chunk of the important people in her life were running into danger and she had to hang back. This was an entirely new sensation for her and she didn't care for it.

He smiles softer on seeing it. There's no judgement from him, not for this, but he allows her to keep what all ever pride she's got the mind of needing at. Something up in eye inmotherfuckingdeed.

He snorts. "Did you now?" He says. "GOOD UP ON YOU, SISTER." Pride is a good look on her, he won't deny. Even if it's not all of realness whole.

"Was thinking all the same myself," He admits. "AIN'T NONE OF US GOT WORKING TOGETHERLIKE SO MUCH BEFOREWAYS. Not even up in arenas." Really, it was an excellent strategy to keep them from organizing, always throwing them in strife up against each other. "THINK WE MIGHT GOT AT TO HAVING FOR SOMETHING RIGHT NOW ABOUT US."

"Or a couple somethings at least." She agreed nodding and relaxing as best she could.

"I checked all the drop points this morning during my jog. The supplies are still in place if anyone needs patching up. So if they can make it home we can keep them wheezing." Though she'd never handled anything more elaborate then basic first aid. Talking shop made her feel like she had a better grip on things.

"I hope they don't throw us into another arena too soon. Getting sent into an arena with an injury sucks." She spoke from experience.

"Ha, ain't I motherfucking know it," He says. He remembers the burns all up his arms. He remembers how they went immediate to sending him into an arena of heat and humidity. The unfunny fuckers.

Of course, that had been when he'd first met her. There'd been a lot of bad up in that arena, but he supposes that one thing to have been good.

Nameless should've been here with him. She should've been by their side, ready for strife. She'd have been brilliant. But she was gone now, and he supposes he ought just be grateful for the gift she left of them; each other.

"THANK YOU, LITTLE SISTER. Oh sister of sand and stone."

Seems like a great line to fade out on. At least till she unhappily runs into him later. ;_;
