Sleepy declarations of affection are all well and good, but in the harsh light of day they seem a whole lot less solid. Trey had been on the brink of unconsciousness when Sam declared himself ready to put an end to the tension between them, so now the Mentor isn't really sure what conclusion they arrived on, if they had indeed arrived at all. Personally, he is pretty sure they're still en route.
Which is why he's knocking on Jolie's door, looking his usual scruffy self because if she can't take him for what he is there isn't much point to this in the first place.

He draws in a breath when Samuel poses the question, perhaps a little too sharply. He cocks his head, like he's not sure if he quite heard it, furrowing his brows up at him.
"Are you serious right now?" Ah yes, the answer everyone wants to hear. "You mean.. like?" He can feel himself getting distracted from the point here, but he can't help fluffing up a little before he relents with a sigh. "Yes." He says finally, voice soft.
