It's been a few weeks since Anna came out of the Arena, and as such she's managed to dispel all of her gloom and moping by the time the finale comes around and the Victor is announced. She's overjoyed that one of her friends will be crowned this time, and for the princess, it's just plain been awhile since she's had a few nice things going on in her life, so she decides to give in to a little merrymaking.

The tension she still holds with a few of her friends aside, Anna's got a few good reasons to celebrate--even if she's had some awkward moments and slip-ups, and there are an uncomfortable amount of people wearing Commemorative T-Shirts featuring a very close-up rendering of her and Bro kissing--so she turns to one of her favorite hobbies: making flower crowns.

Normally, she does this kind of thing in her room, but this time, she decides to take it to a new level. For the first couple of days, you can find her spread out on her stomach on the floor of the District 4 commons, flowers of all sizes, shapes and colors blanketing the floor, making crown after crown. She spends quite a bit of the time she's working humming to herself, occasionally breaking out into song when she feels particularly happy, and she's happy to take requests. But by the third day, she decides that it's not enough to simply decorate her District-mates, and takes the whole operation down to the lobby, where she settles in on the rug by the hearth and sets to work, turning out lovely crowns of roses and daisies, daffodils and asters, and even some exotic flowers whose names she doesn't know, just that they're lovely and fragrant and people should have a chance to appreciate them.

And when she's exhausted her supply, she'll spend the next couple of days sashaying about and distributing them. Many of them go to her friends and loved ones, but she also takes care to hand them around to perfect strangers, too--who doesn't need a dose of good cheer, after all!

Anna giggles into her fingers at the anecdote. "Sounds like something I'd do," she admits. "I know the Arenas are serious business, but sometimes it's hard not to let myself have a little fun while we're in there. It's better than worrying all the time."

His offer causes her to perk up, and she gives him an elated grin. "Oh, I'd love that! Please, be my guest!" She fans out her long hair behind her, over her shoulders--there's plenty there for him to work with.

"I think so too. I got him to make more crowns with me." Aang: 1, Bucky: 0.

He perks up at the thought and immediately scoots behind her. He's used to playing with air bison fur instead of people hair, but the principles are the same.

(He touches her hair slowly at first. It's so soft!) "You're the first person with orange hair I've met, I think. We don't have orange hair where I come from." He picks a pretty flower with sky-blue petals overlaying darker blues. "How does this flower look for your hair?"

Anna giggles at the feeling of her hair being touched so gently. He's caught her on a day where it's actually brushed and styled nicely, otherwise it has a tendency to be something of a rat's nest. His talk about her hair color piques her interest, however.

"Huh? Really? They don't have redheads at all where you're from?" The idea of it is pretty mindblowing for someone who's been redheaded all her life, honestly. "Well, in some cultures it's considered lucky, so! Lucky you." She laughs, studying the flower he's holding out for her approval.

"Oh! I love it," she croons. "I approve."

"If it's lucky, then I'll make the braids extra nice." He giggles softly as he weaves the flower in her hair. Aang, while he's been learning fighting styles his whole life, is at heart a kind sentimentalist, and the gentle way he handles her reflects that, as if it's just instinctive for him to never cause pain.

"We're I come from, people only have black or brown hair. Gray or white too, if you've gotten old or a spirit has touched you. I never saw orange or yellow hair before I got here."

"Perfect," she replies, her shoulders rising upward in a little giggle. Anna sits patiently while he works; she's always enjoyed having her hair played with. And it's interesting to hear Aang talk, too.

"That's so crazy! I bet it must have thrown you for a loop, huh?"

"You bet it did. They just put me in an arena where no one looked like anyone from anywhere back home and said the games were starting. And then everyone started hugging everyone else. That was a weird day." He had been under the impression that hugging was just the accepted form of greeting strangers in this new place. He ended up hugging a lot of strangers. In retrospect, whoops.

"How did you come here? I'm betting it wasn't as weird as that."
