Tell me do you think I'm dumb?

D2 Suites

Felicity wasn't just livid when she saw the broadcast footage of Eponine cuddled up with Grantaire. She was humiliated, utterly. At last, she'd started to come to terms with herself, with her attraction to women, lowered herself to Eponine's level, and now what had Eponine done? She'd carried on with a man! With Grantaire, of all men! The indignity of it all! Felicity could scream, she was so appalled by everything.

"I'll kill them both!" She declared to no one in particular as soon as the mandatory viewing period had passed. "Those awful creatures deserve each other!"

D3 Suites

She entered the third floor suite uninvited, not caring at all if her presence there was unwelcome at all. She was angry and she was going to make that rage known to whoever she happened to come across first. And then, when she was done, she'd find that troll of a human, Grantaire, and beat the hell out of him. And when she was done with that, she'd tell Eponine exactly what she thought of her. And then Felicity would be satisfied and superior once more, and all would be right with the world.

Training Room

Once she was sufficiently calmed, she made her way to the training facilities. She'd been bested by Roland last time, unable to use her weapons skills against someone who was simply stronger and faster than she was. It was something she'd need to work on. What good was a dagger or a bow if she was pinned down beneath a man who had the strength to keep her down.

She still was a bit clueless when it came to strength training, but she would work on it on and off by herself, peppering in her routines of fencing and archery as needed to liven things up. Four Arenas in a row she'd made it to the end. Arena 13 she would win, so help her God.

Torin nodded. It's a concern he's seen often enough from smaller Tributes. "I do understand. There are several things that will come into play here. The first is bravery." And he snapped his fingers at that, which is just a normal enough tic with him when talking about bravery. "You seem to have that part under control.

"We'll start out with basic strength training--a few simple exercises, a little weightlifting. I don't want you doing too much too fast--you want to get stronger, not hurt yourself." Torin was settling into his Mentor groove here. It was a nice change of pace, dealing with a Tribute who wanted to learn. He'd wondered sometimes about the offworlders, though he couldn't blame them, considering the circumstances.

"In addition to strength training, I think we should start teaching you a few new styles of combat. Styles that focus more on leverage and turning opponents' strength against them. It's not the same, but the knowledge should prove useful in a worst-case scenario." He considers the potential options. It's a fallback, in case she loses and physically gets reset to right back where she was when she started...which would be a pity. "And I know how to fight when you don't have full use of all of your limbs. That could be helpful, as well. It's good if you need to give someone a nasty surprise."

Torin nodded in understanding. "We'll teach them to make the mistake of underestimating you. If anyone asks why we're training, tell them it's just working with survival skills. Camouflage. Anything you'd like, so long as it's not combat-related." He smiled. "It's not likely to throw off the smart ones, but sometimes, even a little bit of misdirection helps. It's harder to defend against what you're not expecting...and if they believe you're hoping to hide yourself in order to avoid such fights, so much the better."

He was definitely interested in those weapon skills, especially when she mentioned swords. "Good, good...that's a definite start. Has anyone ever taken the time to show you pressure points?"

"I've got a chart I'll get you to study. They're useful." Torin gestures to a few spots on his own body, showing her the pressure points. "Strike an enemy in these spots with as much force as you can muster, and you'll improve your chances." It's as good a start as any.

Torin wasn't about to provide anything like a chart to look back on without first going over it himself. He gave her a nod. "Right, that's it. Learn them. Use them. And when you hit them, you want to do it as firmly and quickly as possible. It's not so much a question of strength as it is of commitment. The more you hesitate, the less likely it is to work." He demonstrates this on a nearby punching bag. "Strength helps, but it's not the deciding factor. It's all about the way the human body works."

Torin had to smile at that enthusiasm. It had been a while since he'd had such a willing student. "Lots of things. Pressure points are a good place to start. There's also using leverage to your advantage to learn to flip people around, even if they're larger than you." He gestured to his bad arm. "I'm not the best teacher of that, but I'll arrange for a coach to come in here and show you a few things in that regard."

He turned to look back towards the array of weapons in the room. "There's also disarming an attacker, too. I can show you a little bit where that's concerned."

Torin took a ready stance. "Pick something, then come at me." He motioned her on with his good arm. "I'll show you how disarming's done as best I can."
