War Room One

Who | The Dragon Age cast and Friends
What | Dorian plans a covert meeting in the middle of the night so they can actually, you know, plan and shit
Where | In the Training Room
When | Right about now, but at 3 am in the morning
Warnings | uh, nothing I can think of so far

Jason had him on a leash tight enough to suffocate. It was simultaneously as binding as it was embarrassing, so he was loathe to bring attention to it. But they needed to meet. Iron Bull had just arrived - how many more of them would come before the next arena?

It had everything to do with planning and nothing to do with a growing anxiety about making sure they were all okay. Nothing.

The notes came first. Carefully drawn notes with the Inquisition eye at the top, and a sketch of the training room at the bottom, requesting the attendance of the Inquisition and any of her allies that they'd happened to make. He didn't send notes to anyone outside the Inquisition - he trusted them to bring anyone that they thought was worthy. They could use all the help they could get.

The time was set for three in the morning - late enough that Jason would not be awake to keep Dorian from slipping out of the District Suites in the middle of the night and taking the elevator right down to the training hall. (He was getting used to that box.)

He wrung his hands before he stepped into the room. He wasn't nervous. How utterly ridiculous.

"What's sensitive is your incredibly patronizing attitude," Cullen says sharply. "Forgive me if courtesy is different where you come from, but where I come from I would not expect a warm response to such dismissal. Were I to suggest, ser, that a fundamental force of nature in your world, a force powerful enough to level cities, create walking corpses, split the sky in two and divide families and nations were simply not real, or a silly superstitious fancy of a primitive people, would you be pleased with that?"

He squares his shoulders a little. "I suggest you offer that opinion to my friend Dorian over there, and see how he reacts to having his abilities - and his knowledge of them - dismissed so. We are not stupid, despite the fact that our world doesn't come equipped with bright lights and flashing boxes."

"To begin with, if you had listened instead of jumping to conclusions to defend yourself and your ideas, was that I didn't say that it didn't exist. What I was saying was that what you might call one thing is still what it is, it is still true. It's a matter of what we call it. Either way, I bet you'll soon find that anything super-human or super-natural won't work. Period. And it's not just from your home, ours too, and many others." Garrus will cross his arms over his chest and drawing himself up to all 6'11" of himself will shake his head.

"It's stupid to argue over this when we have bigger issues here, like not ending up dead, even if I can guarantee most, if not all of us will."

"I am fully aware that our powers are stripped from us here," Cullen barks back. "It would be impossible not to notice. But thank you, for once again stating the obvious. I have plans to make."

Clearly, this is not going anywhere. The man - or whatever he is - is determined to treat him like he's a child. So he turns to cross the room and confer with Cassandra and the Iron Bull.
