Maybe I'm a sinner and not a saint
Who| Jennifer Blackwood & You.
What| Open log to chat with the Tribute Comfort & Care Administrator
Where| Jennifer's office in the Tribute Center
When| Anytime this month. Feel free to specify as needed.
Warnings/Notes| N/A
With the new influx of Tributes, Jennifer has had her work cut out for her. There are so many files to memorize, so many new faces to welcome to the Capitol. It's time consuming, but she finds purpose in it, and playing welcoming committee chair is something she's rather good at. The task of putting a friendly, human face to the Capitol is difficult, but she's somehow thriving. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have so many wonderful stylists and escorts on her side for this.
And happily, she's found some recent success in terms of Tribute requests. By all accounts, Feferi's salt water shampoo campaign is a real hit, and Buddy Glass has reported his satisfaction with Junior Peacekeeper Terezi's role as a media assistant, and Justine Florbelle was apparently pleased with her medical intern, Joly. And Jennifer had just received the happy news that Albert and Jet would be allowed a special suite to share, one which would unite the second and third floors. Construction would soon be underway, and Jennifer was pleased to share the news with them. Little things like that mattered in the end. Happy Tributes meant happy viewers at home, and happy viewers meant a happy President. And that was the bottom line, wasn't it?
In spite of the work she had before her, Jennifer purposely kept open office hours to allow Tributes, mentors, and employees of the Tribute Center to visit her to petition for various requests. Everyone was welcome to see her, but Jennifer was cautious after the incident with Eponine and found she was more likely to call for Peacekeeper back up than ever before. The moment a situation seemed like it would get out of hand, she would press one of several alarms hidden around her office and alert the authorities that she was in distress. These alarms were a new addition to her office, but a necessary one. She wasn't going to risk being attacked by a Tribute again.

...I have a feeling he's not getting what he wants.
"With children?! You allow children near that fell beast?!"
hahaha :3
wow I am batting 1000 today I will not correct anything else
Thranduil stands suddenly, directing a piercing glare her way. When he speaks again his voice is softer but the words carry no less weight.
"What dangers you subject yourself and your kind to is not my concern, but I will not dwell where the dragon in housed. Furthermore I find it insulting that I was not given my own chambers from the start. I require another arrangement."

It's obvious he thinks she's a fool for thinking anything else. He closes his eyes, exasperated from trying to talk reason into someone who clearly didn't have common sense.
"If you will not allow me to reside outside the tower, then simply provide me private rooms within it."

After a long silent moment, he weighs the pros and cons of continuing his current method of intimidation, or...
"If you refuse to do as I ask under present circumstances, then under what circumstances will you do so?"
It was a humbling thing to ask, but the king simply would not be found anywhere near that dragon.

"We like to reward those Tributes who will willingly serve for the betterment of the Capitol. For example, Miss Terezi Pyrope has assisted us in a series of public service announcement on behalf of the Peacekeepers. And Thierry Joly is a medical intern here in the Tribute Center. Exceptional Tributes can earn exceptional treatment." She paused, tilting her head to look Thranduil over. "You have a captivating presence. If you'd be willing to participate, I'm certain you could find sure success in our advertisements."
Or better, their propaganda.

"I will not sign my name to anything I do not endorse, and I very much doubt that any advertisement that can be found here is to my liking."
It's clear that he's already declined the suggestion in his mind. Still, he was curious about what exactly she was talking about.
"What sort of advertisement would you suggest?"

"Do not be ridiculous! I will do no such thing."
[OOC: Is it possible that he says no now, but caves later and gives in when he's frustrated enough with "sleeping around"?
hehHe'd be more of a photo advertisement kind of guy, he'll be uncooperative on video.]no subject
"Are you prepared to make a reasonable counter-offer?" She cocked her head at him, not to shut him down per se, but rather to draw him out further. "It is a game, you realize. Those who refuse to play can hardly expect a reward. That's just not how our system tends to operate."
no subject
"These are no games you play, and I will not barter with you over what is my right!"
He's had enough, apparently. The king turns and sweeps from the room, with every intention of finding someone else who would see to his demands.
