Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy
Who| John Watson, Sherlock Holmes and anyone they encounter
What| Exploring, complaining, all that wholesome stuff
Where| Throughout the Capitol
When| After John's introduction as punishment for Sherlock messing with the cameras
Warnings/Notes| No warnings as of yet. This post can also be used for meeting just John or just Sherlock, we can engineer them splitting up for fact-finding a la Scooby Doo if you prefer!
Having been given a quick crash course on everything Sherlock had learned during his stay in the Capitol and his rather unpleasant experiences in the Arena, John had asked if Sherlock wouldn't mind showing him around some of the more interesting places in the sprawling, decadent city. He felt like having a rather stiff drink, actually- something to wash down the hideously confusing day he'd had- though he doubted he could convince Sherlock to join him in destroying a few braincells at whatever passed for a pub in this ridiculous place.
"So, where's next?" he asked, as lightly as he could manage as he stuffed his hands into his pockets.

"Just fine, ta. You'd think they could fix the paving around here, what with all the profit they must be bringing in. It's such a simple little thing, too." Draco sniffed, rolling his eyes a bit melodramatically, glancing between the pair of them, then letting his eyes linger on Sherlock a moment longer. "And you are?"

He gave Sherlock the kind of look that pleaded with him to be civil. They'd already rustled more than enough feathers for today, by his reckoning.

"Charmed, I'm sure," the low baritone practically purred, mostly as an indirect jab towards John's pleading eyes. Behave indeed. It was only for John's sake (and to prove a point) that he held his tongue about the trip being very clearly nothing to do with the pavement.

Two could play at that game, at least. Draco returned that stiff and completely false smile, his own leaning on the edge of simpering; it disappeared after a moment, as he didn't even bother keeping the entire thing up. At least John knew his companion was a bit of a prick. That was certainly the vibe Draco was getting off of Sherlock, at least. "Yes. Absolutely charmed."
And with that, his attention turned back to John, pointedly ignoring Sherlock. "Perhaps if enough people complain, something might be done about the matter."

"I think there are a few things I'd deal with first before the pavements," he pointed out.

"Yes, I'm sure they are extremely concerned with the opinions of tributes...."
no subject
"It's the point of the thing, anyway."

"They do like to threaten, don't they," Sherlock said darkly.

"And Sherlock's been here since before the ice arena. I get the impression some people have been here much longer..?"

"A few real threats?" He echoed, voice dropped as well, tipping his head curiously. "Like what?"

"You've been here nearly as long as they began bringing outsiders, then," Sherlock said smoothly, something flashing in his eye as he completely ignored the question entirely. John had answered it, after all. And what was politeness.

And then he wondered if Sherlock wasn't entirely annoyed by that, in some strange way of his. Draco was finding himself more and more grateful John was there. "Nearly, yes."
