Mission: Capitol Liberation

Who| Bucky Barnes, Enjolras, Joan Watson, Punchy, & Marius Pontmercy.
What| Liberation of the idiots.
Where| The Tribute Center
When| January 1st
Warnings/Notes| N/A

This leg of the mission would require more stealth and discretion than anything else. The team would go into the Capitol, making use of the smuggling method the rebels had established and make their way into the Tribute Center. Bucky, Enjolras, and Joan would be provided with elaborate disguises to aid in their infiltration if necessary, otherwise they would be very much on their own. The hovercraft couldn't wait around for them and they would have no back up in case something went wrong.

It wasn't until they were nearly to the Capitol that their targets were revealed. Punchy and Marius. Wait... Punchy and Marius?

Doubts as to their suitability as soldiers aside, the trio's mission was clear. They had to be in and out of there and at the rendezvous point before 2300. It was 0700 when they were dropped off. Plenty of time, right? Right?

Perhaps next time you find yourselves in the Capitol, with more time to spare, we can meet again. The city has so very much to offer, I would so hate to see you miss anything. Especially those hidden off the beaten path....

"Is that so?" A pale eyebrow arched. "Anyone I would know?"

The whole thing smacked of the rebellion. Just what were they up too?

And how could he use it to his advantage?

His options had been severely limited after the lost of the Lonestar postings. He needed a new avenue.

"Probably," she said, as if she weren't going to tell him. Then she gave him a small smile before continuing. "The newest Victor. I think they call him Punchy?"

It was no secret that Joan and Punchy were very close friends, so it also probably would come as no surprise that Joan would come back for him.

"Ah," he breathed knowingly. "Of course. The young man has proven himself quite popular since his victory. I don't expect you'll miss him - simply look for the biggest gaggle of fawning adorers."

There was a hint in there. Knowing her, Wesker was confident she'd be able to make use of it.

From one non-native to another, I promise you, it's worth the effort.

He signed his name with an elegant flourish and pushed it toward her, his palm tented over the text.

"Good luck, and please, do remember to think of District 11, when the time comes."

She took the napkin, folded it with the text on the inside, and tucked it into her left glove, against her upper arm.

"Thank you. I will. I'm a big supporter. And good luck to you too. I'm sure I'll be seeing you on the news. You're destined for great things."

She straightened her glove, lowered her hand, and gave him a nod and a smile before turning to head back into the lobby to resume the search for Punchy.
