Soon after her initial introduction over the Network, and for the weeks following, Porrim finds herself situated at regular intervals in the District 5 lounge, a fresh tray of tea, pastries, sandwiches and assorted other delicacies spread across the table in front of her, and a handsome leather notebook poised in front of her, ready to take notes if necessary. She finds that these regular sessions--like open office hours in a university--are helpful to her Tributes. It's important for her to be accessible, especially when her district has the reputation that it does.

And, well, if she keeps a tiny silver flask nearby and occasionally slips a little something stronger into her tea, who can really blame her? The job of an Escort is a neverending headache, and the indomitable Miss Maryam is more than well-equipped to deal with the consequences. And true to her word, she's happy to socialize with anyone from another District who happens by; she'll never say no to new friends, to making new contacts and meeting new faces. After all, people are interesting. Especially when they come from such varied walks of life.

"Hey, I'd do it." Nitou grins at that. Might as well get something out of all this crap...and a spokesman deal might make it look like he's behaving a bit more than he actually plans on behaving. Everyone wins. "Alright, alright, I get it. Do the media thing and the Arena thing and whatever other thing you guys want." Those miserable re-education classes had been pretty much a crash course in that.

"Perfect." She grins, before popping the rest of her tea sandwich into her mouth and chewing daintily, dabbing cream cheese away from the corner of her mouth with her thumb. "I'm sure you'll be great, don't worry. I can already tell you're a talker, and the Capitol loves talkers."

"I'm way more of an eater than a talker, but I can do that!" Nitou proves this eating point by eating yet another sandwich. Where he puts it all is anyone's guess.

Oh, lord. It's turning Porrim's stomach to watch him eat like that, and this coming from someone with a healthy appetite herself. She looks away, coughing politely. "Perfect." She taps the table lightly with her knuckles. This conversation is finished, as far as she's concerned; she can't bear to watch him pile any more mayonnaise on any more sandwiches.

"Anyway. I have a small matter I need to attend to. It was nice meeting you." She gives Nitou a small smile. "I'll get back to you soon."

Nitou grabs another sandwich for the road and flashes her a grin. "Alright, then. I'll just be on my way!" He's whipping out the bottle of mayonnaise as he goes. At least he'll be out of there when he fixes the sandwich up. "Thanks for the snack!"

It takes concerted physical effort for her not to shudder. "Sure thing, dear. Any time. And don't be afraid to reach out to me if you need anything at all." Porrim waggles her fingers at him in a little wave.
