An aimless cry in a sea of the virtual

WHO| Mindy OTA
WHAT| Musings for a tribute left out
WHEN| During the sleepover/kid arena
WHERE| The arcade
WARNINGS| Swearing, whatever else might come, but probably only swearing I think.

Sleep was at least starting to come regularly, and even with the nightmares she could swallow it down. Imagery was a bitch though: she could see Chibi Usa there, looking lost, and Hotaru after she was shot, and Ellie sinking beneath the ice. This was what not being in school had ill prepared her for: having friends meant caring about them, and losing friends meant she acted erratically. Fighting Pruna shouldn't have happened: hadn't she accepted that the Games were just that, a place where death didn't mean a lot, so long as you put on a show? Still, couldn't get the image of Clementine falling to her death out of her head. Being level headed about a dying friend? Well. Revenge had always come easier. Logic just got in her way, and she was sick of being on a leash.

So she died, and it was BORING. No fight to the death, just being axed by the Molotov bitch, and back here, only to find they weren't done with the kids yet. It DIDN'T include her though, so no being sent to the Arena now, but with mentor status she couldn't do the ticket earning thing, since that was adults. So that meant sitting and stewing, none of which she did very well. Her friends were out there, she couldn't help them, and even the punching bag in the lounge wasn't enough to distract her.

So for now, the arcade. Harley had been chewing her ear off about dating sims, so she started her just so she could sabotage the relationships as they started with a grim satisfaction. She'd move on to the horror shoot 'em ups soon enough.

Distraction were more than welcome.
