Slumber Party

Who| All adult Tributes
What| Slumber party fun times!
Where| The common room
When| during the Chilren's arena
Warnings/Notes| For those who earn tickets, please see this thread to post who they send them too.

The Tributes are told to arrive back at the Tower by 4 o'Clock. Anyone not there by 5 will in fact find themselves nudged home by their friendly, neighborhood peace keepers.

Everyone finds a set of P.J.s on their bed, and although there isn't any particular theme to them, none of them fall under normal, and all lean towards the children's side of things. Footsie P.J's, knee length plaids in bright pink, polyester frilly princess night gowns. And although the night isn't saturated in it, pink and purple are solidly the color code of the night.

Once everyone had been dressed, even if it is by force, they are all hearded down to the common room, which has been decked out. Pillows are everywhere, and large chunks of the floor have been changed into giant beds. The whole room is geared just slightly larger, to give the tributes the subtle but inescapable feeling that they are smaller. Gauzy curtains separate areas of the room by activity, but most furniture has been removed, sans a few scant pieces left for party purposes. Each Tribute is passed over a bag, blues for the boys and pinks for the girls. Within are a selections of goodies-face masques, a small personalized blanket with their face printed on it, and a check list of the activities. For every activity completed you get 5 tickets to send to any kid in the arena, and for completing them all you get a 20 point bonus.

On one huge wall, the Children's arena is broadcast across the whole wall. No matter where you may be in the room, you can see this wall, and the majority of the pillows are gathered around to watch it. An avox near the side of the wall will take any earned tickets and get them to the Tribute of choice in the arena, who will receive it with their next ticketed activity. Directly across from it is a huge table, dripping with every variety of junk food. Pizza's are piled high, and whenever the pile runs low a "delivery" avox will bring more. Chips, soda, cookies, and even more hand made variety of junk food like buckeyes and pigs in a blanket are spread across the table. And there is always an avox near by to "spike" your pop.

Pillow Fight: A padded arena for two is set up, with pillow armor and stuffed weapons.

Make Overs: A small salon is set up, full of ridiculous supplies like wigs, tattoo stencils, and rainbow make up. Nothing is neutral here. There are no stylists however, just lots of their toys for the Tributes to play with.

Fashion Show: After your make over you can walk over to the dressing room, full of things that are all over sized. Shoes, dressed, boas, all made sized up as if the Tributes were children themselves. You must walk the fashion run way to get points.

Video Games: A whole gaming area is set up. However the only game is a fighting game programmed with all the Children Tributes as characters.

Cup Cake Decorating: Just about everything is here to decorate, including decadent things such as live flowers and real gems. Everyone is told they must submit a cupcake for judging, the winner gets 20 extra tickets.

Spin the Bottle: Much like the traditional game, except the bottle is full. Take a swig of whatever is in the bottle before you drink, and it makes you feel much better about having to play spin the bottle after just one shot.

Seven Minutes in Heaven: Two participants are chosen at random throughout the party and hurried into a large closet for 7 minutes "alone," which anyone outside the closet can see on the monitors on the wall behind the closet. Which your character may or may not have seen before being rushed in.

Roland grunts. "'S one word for it." The wig gets tossed aside, hopefully well out of the range of those red tendrils. "Had enough of living machines for one lifetime. If you can figure out what to do with this you can have a bird." He tosses a stencil toward Tony of a bird in flight, then goes poking at the rest of the items. He comes up with a tin of powder and a sponge with a wooden handle, and holds them up for inspection.

"This is what women use on their faces, isn't it? Unless you'd prefer another color." His right hand has no index or middle finger with which to point so he waves it instead, indicating the other tins and jars and boxes. There are many other colors. There is every other color. He would doubt that most of this is actually used to make up anyone's face, if this weren't Panem.

"This... Really isn't close to your area of expertise is it?"

Tony has been with and around women for pretty much most of his life in one way or another, so make up didn't confuse or scare him, and weirdly he retained a lot of knowledge about various devices. He's sure one day it'll come in handy. Maybe even today.

"Well if you're going to put birds on my face it should probably be a more striking colour, don't you think?"

He puts the stencil to his left cheekbone before adding.

"Aim for a primary colour or black. Birds can be black."

Black it is, then. Roland puts the tin down, reaches to open the nearest black bottle, something small and sparkling, and- "Gods," he mutters, leaning back. It smells. There's a brush on the underside of the cap which he scoops some of the perfumed gunk onto, and he frowns at the stencil a moment before beginning to paint over the skin inside of it.

"Wish you luck figuring out how they get all this off. What next, since you know so much more of this than I do? Rouge? Or... painting your lips?" He pulls a face but doesn't stop focusing on the stencil, moving the brush very carefully over the inside of one wingtip. "How far do they expect us to go with this?"

"Considering how nervous you seem to be about painting my cheek, let's avoid having you do anything to the delicate parts of my face like the eyes and lips."

Tony comments dismissively. Because really when people are unsure around him it makes him either impatient or unsure himself. Though the later isn't so common as the former.

"As for how far? This is going to get tokens for the kid. So go as far as your stomach can handle."

"It's not the painting I'm nervous of." Painting the leg of the bird now, because if Roland had been given coloring books as a child he would have been the type who never failed to do the outlines first. "If any of this hurts you somehow I cry your pardon. Don't think there's a way to tell before putting it on. But if it's my aim you're worried about, sai, don't be. I've never painted a woman's face before but my hands are steady as they ever were."

"'Course, I used to be right handed." He takes a moment to finish the second leg and moves on to the outside of the wing, keeping the line of it thin and neat. "Any of those brushes and bottles look familiar to you? Your face, your choice what I try next."
arrogantalloy: (A: 130 Yeah doubtful)

"While I wouldn't put it past them. I doubt they'd want to ruin this teen party atmosphere by adding toxins to the make up. Believe me, I'll be fine."

Even before coming here he's suffered worse than paint from make up, so he's all manner of unconcerned about anything other than the man's own unease.

Tony doesn't comment on his handedness, mostly because it's both not his place and not something he's inherently interested in. This guy and Tony hardly know each other well enough to talk about limbs and how to write with them.

He glances over at the other make up without moving his face.

"Well I don't know the brands. But I know what everything is meant for." The pallet and bottle shapes alone made that much easy for him. "How confident are you at eye shadow?"
He gestures to the smaller pallets with their range of subtle to theatrical colours.

He shrugs, finishing the rest of the bird's outline and beginning to fill it in. His expression now might be a little disgusted - confidence is for matters that truly need it, not these displays of ridiculousness the tribute's gaolers like to put them through.

"Saying I've got to summon up my confidence for this gives it too much credit. I may not've done this 'sleep over' they're trying to mock up here as the rest of you have, but I'll manage it well enough." He puts the final few strokes to the bird stencil and removes it, sitting back to judge his work.

Once judged acceptable, he glances toward all the assorted cases of eye shadow and then back at the man's eyes. "You'll be wanting glitter, won't you? Seems pretty popular with these people."

"Unless you count boarding school, this would be my first sleep over too."

Tony says sounding bored, after all, who wants to spend the night with a kid who is going to ignore them over trying to realign a compression system in a V6 engine? No one, that's who.

"Besides, last I knew, most guys find putting make up on too girly."

Something Tony can easily say is that he really hasn't been most guys, despite how he acts in public. But he makes an amused huff at the glitter.

"It's popular with all socialites, go for it."

With that permission Roland starts looking over the eyeshadow, looking for one with both glitter and the right color. "Mm. Men don't do this in your world either?"

There's one - red's one of the colors the man wanted isn't it? A good color for this place, bright and unavoidable. And the more eye-catching this turns out to be, the less chance the two of them will be refused tickets for not doing this properly. Red glitter it is. "Somehow I don't think the gamemakers care much about what any of us are used to doing. You'll need to close your eyes for this."

He opens the case, looking over the little tool inside before swiping it through the makeup and leaning forward. "Eyes and then... cheeks, aye? Then lips. If you've never done this sleeping over either we'll have to guess and hope we don't miss anything too important."

"Only if they're actors or into it in someway. Like Jolie is."

Being a drag queen being 'into it' is probably putting it mildly. Tony closes his eyes as he's instructed, then hums.

"If they cared they wouldn't be so forceful." He mutters. "In my world they're a bonding thing for kids and teens. So I doubt we really missed much. Also, any order you want, I'm not really going to try to stop you here."

"Something children do." He leans forward, raising the little brush to start on Tony's left eyelid, and thinks on the footage from this particular arena that's being shown even as they speak. "That makes a cruel sort of sense, considering."

Roland decides to do this like he'd done the bird stencil - outline first, then the inside. The outline in this case happens to be from the line of Tony's eyelashes all the way up to his eyebrow. Tasteful. "I'll be quick about it. Once we're finished 'bonding' to one another you'll be free to finish out your sleep over however you like."
