Slumber Party

Who| All adult Tributes
What| Slumber party fun times!
Where| The common room
When| during the Chilren's arena
Warnings/Notes| For those who earn tickets, please see this thread to post who they send them too.

The Tributes are told to arrive back at the Tower by 4 o'Clock. Anyone not there by 5 will in fact find themselves nudged home by their friendly, neighborhood peace keepers.

Everyone finds a set of P.J.s on their bed, and although there isn't any particular theme to them, none of them fall under normal, and all lean towards the children's side of things. Footsie P.J's, knee length plaids in bright pink, polyester frilly princess night gowns. And although the night isn't saturated in it, pink and purple are solidly the color code of the night.

Once everyone had been dressed, even if it is by force, they are all hearded down to the common room, which has been decked out. Pillows are everywhere, and large chunks of the floor have been changed into giant beds. The whole room is geared just slightly larger, to give the tributes the subtle but inescapable feeling that they are smaller. Gauzy curtains separate areas of the room by activity, but most furniture has been removed, sans a few scant pieces left for party purposes. Each Tribute is passed over a bag, blues for the boys and pinks for the girls. Within are a selections of goodies-face masques, a small personalized blanket with their face printed on it, and a check list of the activities. For every activity completed you get 5 tickets to send to any kid in the arena, and for completing them all you get a 20 point bonus.

On one huge wall, the Children's arena is broadcast across the whole wall. No matter where you may be in the room, you can see this wall, and the majority of the pillows are gathered around to watch it. An avox near the side of the wall will take any earned tickets and get them to the Tribute of choice in the arena, who will receive it with their next ticketed activity. Directly across from it is a huge table, dripping with every variety of junk food. Pizza's are piled high, and whenever the pile runs low a "delivery" avox will bring more. Chips, soda, cookies, and even more hand made variety of junk food like buckeyes and pigs in a blanket are spread across the table. And there is always an avox near by to "spike" your pop.

Pillow Fight: A padded arena for two is set up, with pillow armor and stuffed weapons.

Make Overs: A small salon is set up, full of ridiculous supplies like wigs, tattoo stencils, and rainbow make up. Nothing is neutral here. There are no stylists however, just lots of their toys for the Tributes to play with.

Fashion Show: After your make over you can walk over to the dressing room, full of things that are all over sized. Shoes, dressed, boas, all made sized up as if the Tributes were children themselves. You must walk the fashion run way to get points.

Video Games: A whole gaming area is set up. However the only game is a fighting game programmed with all the Children Tributes as characters.

Cup Cake Decorating: Just about everything is here to decorate, including decadent things such as live flowers and real gems. Everyone is told they must submit a cupcake for judging, the winner gets 20 extra tickets.

Spin the Bottle: Much like the traditional game, except the bottle is full. Take a swig of whatever is in the bottle before you drink, and it makes you feel much better about having to play spin the bottle after just one shot.

Seven Minutes in Heaven: Two participants are chosen at random throughout the party and hurried into a large closet for 7 minutes "alone," which anyone outside the closet can see on the monitors on the wall behind the closet. Which your character may or may not have seen before being rushed in.

Well this was awkward. Really awkward. Why did humans have such a game? He wasn't even sure if half they things they did even made sense, but he was stuck in this situation now.

"I...see." Not an entirely bad party game, as long as you weren't hung up on being monogamous. "Not a bad thing it was you that got stuck in here with me then."

Hopefully he could try to settle some waters here because he was pretty sure that if they got any more awkward they wouldn't be able to function at all.

"It's just a stupid, teenage thing," Shepard took a deep breath and tried to convince herself that she was only embarrassed on behalf of stupid, very human teenagers, and not nervous for some other reason.

He had a smell. It wasn't that she'd never been in close quarters with Garrus before, but it hadn't ever been like this, and it had usually been with an insulating layer of armor between them. This wasn't even the comfort of ordinary clothing, it was thin, fuzzy flannel and soft fleece. It was that gunmetal and salt turian smell wafting right down her throat and into her gut. She was suddenly hyperaware of her own imperfections, the way he must be able to see every line of her face from the dim glow of her cybernetic scars. He'd never really looked right without the visor.

Shepard wanted this.

"Okay, look. Let's just do this, and we'll worry about the rest later, okay?" Never one to linger in limbo where decisive action would serve better, Shepard seized his hands and put them, innocent as a middle-school prom, on her waist, "Like this. And then I'll just..."

She reached up, then, with both hands, and cupped his jaw-- or, his mandibles, rather, since the jaw itself was a little awkward by comparison. He was damned tall, and the closet was narrow, but not too narrow for this; Jane pulled Garrus down, and kissed him.

Spirits, she put his hands on her waist. Maybe it didn't mean the same things to humans but for a moment his mind went entirely blank, then she kissed him. It was a bit of a shock and had him dumbfounded for a moment, standing there in the dark before his brain seemed to kick in.

His hands ran a little lower on her waist, pulling her closer and kissing her back. If he hadn't been aware of her proximity and the soft tangy smell that her soap gave off, he certainly was now.

He couldn't help the temptation while kissing her, tilting his head slightly to gently nip at her bottom lip.

Someone made a sound- something a little bit breathy, it sounded a bit like Garrus' name, and it was impossible to remember why she would stop. It was weird, it was so weird, the roughness of his mouthplates, the strange texture of the experience. She kissed him again, and his mouth was already open for it.

Ten years ago, she'd have recoiled in disgust at this, it was perverted, wrong, and... Well, alright, it was pretty hot. Turians had represented 'the enemy' for humankind since she was three, and there had always been something sort of dangerous about those people to her. Maybe even-- alright, especially Garrus; Jane hadn't brought him onboard for his tech skills, after all. She was a dangerous woman, a thrillseeker, and dangerous men fit right into that.

This closet was too fucking narrow, and Garrus was too tall, but most of all Shepard wasn't paying attention to either annoyance. Later, when she was sober, she would realize how deep the trouble she was getting herself into was. But for right now? Oh yeah, she's into it.

He was sure that he shouldn't be doing this, that it was a very bad idea, and they both were simply digging themselves a grave here. Not to mention what rumours the Capitol might make up about them.

Those thoughts didn't hold the weight they should've in his mind. Entirely focused on that soft breathy noise she had made and the oddly sweet taste of her. Part of him wanted to press her back against the narrow wall of the closet but the thought better of it, not wanting to bang into anything else in their confined space. His hands dipped lower to her hips, more into kissing Shepard than he initially thought he was. But really, who hadn't thought about kissing Shepard? He just figured that it would never actually happen, and he was pleasantly surprised to find that he was wrong.

It's strange, how well they fit together, given the fairly important incompatibilities between their respective species. Did Turians even kiss, or had the time in the Capitol cued him in to the human way of doing things? Speaking of which, why hadn't they done this sooner?

There'd been a reason, she was sure of it, but with Garrus' bare talons catching on the sliver of exposed skin between herpajama halves, she really couldn't be bothered. And that was a shock all on it's own, another thing that separated the past from right now-- no visor, no armor, and no gloves. He was practically naked by the standards of their association, and that was leaving completely aside the way he had his tongue halfway down her throat.

The door clicked, unlocked, but she didn't notice.

The noise registered to Garrus, a click, so subtle that it was almost unheard over the rustle of fabric and heavy breathing. It didn't go unnoticed that the only thing separating them was thin material and he certainly felt next to naked without his gloves and visor. It was strangely intimate, even if kissing was awkward, it wasn't something that turians did, but he couldn't say he wasn't willing to try.

He pulled her close, flush against him for a moment, a soft rumble coming through his chest, before pulling back to catch his breath. Part of him hoped he wasn't going to go into anaphylactic shock from this.

She was still close, his hands still on her, and part of him just wanted to kiss her again, despite knowing that part of him screamed that it was a really bad idea.
