Trouble Loves Company
Who| Gary, Nitou, Aang, Davesprite, Iskierka, and probably a whole lot of angry Peacekeepers
What| Gary stays out too late and misses curfew, then decides to throw a post-curfew rooftop party with whoever he can convince to come with him because why the hell not.
Where| The Training Center in general, moving up to the rooftop.
When| Late Sunday, October 26th
Warnings/Notes| Language and violence (but what else is new)
The previous evening was a pleasant change from what Gary had come to expect as the norm. He missed not having curfew. Stalking about town late into the evening, bouncing from party to shop to party again, only coming back to his suite to crash at dawn. He could do that every night if he had the opportunity.
Perhaps he shouldn't have had a taste of that sweet ambrosia the night before; come Sunday evening, far into downtown with a box of food and several drinks under his belt, Gary found the time and realized that ten minutes 'til eleven wasn't going to cut it. There was the initial bout of raw panic, of course, racing himself to see if he could make it back before curfew struck, but soon enough he succumbed to the inevitable. Why fight what he can't win? He's already out, he's already going to get in trouble no matter what he does--why not make a night of it? What are the Peacekeepers going to do about it, anyways? Surely they can't throw him in jail or anything just for staying up too late.
It seems that the Peacekeepers are more involved in the Capitol proper than the Training Center, so Gary decides to spend the rest of his evening there--perhaps on the roof, for its scenery and relative isolation. But he can hardly do this alone, and not without some important provisions first. He'll stop by D11 and grab some food and drinks from the fridge, see who else wants to join him along the way, then gather them all to the rooftop and have a fun time of it.
Gary steps into the elevator and sets the first stop for floor 11. He thinks for a moment. Shrugs. Runs his hand over the rest of the buttons before the elevator doors close.
[[IMPORTANT NOTE: Log is semi-open to those that are okay with breaking curfew and facing mod consequences; if you decide to tag in, your character's name will be added to the top and they WILL be punished, most likely here and after the fact. Have fun everyone!]]

District Floors
By the time he makes it to D12, the elevator is quite full--but at least Gary has booze and snacks to offer.
[[Let's aim to keep each floor a separate subthread if we can. Characters picked up from earlier floors can also come out to help convince/pester people on higher floors as well!]]

a hoboan adventurer, and he doesn't like to sleep indoors. For another, they drastically cut down on any late-night mayo runs he might have wanted to make. He'd spent most of his teenage years driving his grandma crazy with his curfew-dodging, and it's frankly a miracle he hasn't tried anything before now. Needless to say, he's quite interested at all this knocking. "Hey, man, what's up?"no subject

Not the mayo, though. Gary recognizes that he won't get Nitou to do anything without mayo.

Good call on not telling him to leave the mayo, at least.

Then he turns his attention to the elevator proper. "Iskierka! I've got a guy here who wants to meet you!"

The rest of her follows not long thereafter, and it's pretty clear that while she might be female, she's very much not human. On the other hand, she does at least accurately the 'with spikes' part of Gary's description, which is something at the very least. Even if it is only a part of how she could be described.

There's a yelp of surprise as he springs back and starts frantically rooting around in his pockets for magic rings that just aren't there. "That's a dragon!" The only one he's seen before was Haruto's, and Haruto's Dragon running around loose would have been a very bad thing, but...at least this wasn't Haruto's?

Still, she seems perfectly willing to roll with things, and doesn't seem too bothered by Nitou's obvious surprise and concern, for all that she doesn't directly answer Gary's comment.
no subject
She isn't making him hungry, anyway.
"It's, uh, nice to meet you?" Nitou's still a little confused by this whole thing, but he is aware of two things: one, that he needs to pay Gary back with a better prank; and two, that he needs to try this on Haruto for obvious dragon-related reasons.

In the meanwhile, there's no time to lose. "Alright lovebirds, take it in the elevator." Gary ushers the pair onward. "You'll have plenty of time to bond in Nitou's tent, he tells me. Come on!"
There's a quick eyebrow raise, but Gary doesn't wait for a response. He's already skipping for the elevator, as directed.

"It would have to be a very large tent," she comments, as Gary ushers them towards the elevator. "And I should rather prefer a pavilion besides, if there were an option."
no subject
"It's kind of a small tent! You could maybe get your head in there if you just wanted to check it out, I guess." Nitou's at least going to roll with this and treat it like a bad blind date, seeing as how she was nice enough not to want to eat him or drive humans to despair to cause more Phantoms to be born or anything like that.

"Hey." He doesn't even sound a little out of breath. "I didn't know you had a curfew pass."

Aang stops his push ups--balancing on his hands for a moment to swing his legs under him and sit down in one smooth motion--to frown up at Gary. "Won't you get in trouble for that?"

Conveniently, she's settled into a rather grumbly pile of scales when Gary pokes his head in, and the oddity of someone who's not supposed to be in this particular common room is enough to get her to raise her head even if she doesn't make to speak just yet. Sooner or later she likely will, but not just yet.
no subject
"Hey!" he says in a stage whisper. "You awake?"

(It's more comfortable in her own room, and Granby - the tribble one, anyway - is there as well, which makes things at least a little better in the long run.)

"I should be glad to."

(Not that she's had much experience with any sorts of parties, but she figures there probably isn't much that she needs to know about it beyond what she already does.)
