Nothing that I do is ever good enough
Who| Megan Gwynn & YOU!!!
What| Exploring the Tribute Center
Where| Various locations in the Tribute Center & surrounding.
When| Throughout the week, whenever the curfew is not in effect.
Warnings/Notes| N/A
1 ; Training Center
If this place was for real (and it was looking increasingly like it was), Megan was going to need to put in some practice when it came to self-defense. X-Men didn't kill (except for demons, and the proper term in that case was vanquish) but she wanted to be ready to defend herself, just in case. Years of combat training would aid her, of course, but without her powers as a back up, she was worried she wouldn't be able to handle herself in a pinch. After all, everything she relied on fell back on her mutant abilities. Without those, she felt like she would be an easy target.
So she arrived at the training center ready to work on all that. Her first order of business was to get the lay of the land. From there she would decide what to do.
2 ; The Roof
The sunset over the mountains was brilliantly beautiful, but Megan wasn't paying it any mind. Instead she sat brooding on the roof. Or rather, she sat pouting. Bright pink fairies aren't exactly the brooding types. Regardless, she sat on the rooftop overlooking the busy Capitol down below, a pensive look on her face. She wondered, vaguely, what would happen if she jumped off the ledge. What good were those wings of hers if she wasn't able to fly?
3 ; You pick!

"This isn't like the America I know. It never could've turned out like this." Megan frowned, crossing her arms. "What about you? Where're you from? Where's home?"

Would there even be a point to a lie about this? There was no way this could be the future of that particular version of Earth. The darkness had spread, and if it had spread far enough, there would be something in the history books. The Capitol could use it as a way to paint themselves in a good light, not a bad one, but there's no indication of that being the case in any place that she's looked. To anyone else, it was just the name of a town that didn't seem to exist in other worlds, or at the very least, wasn't well known. She didn't think it could be used against her.
Siren's Port, Canada.
I miss it.

"At least we can go back home in our hearts and in our dreams." It wasn't much, but the idea somehow seemed sweet. "Sweet dreams to combat this waking nightmare."

She offers a very small smile, and nods her head in agreement, but she doesn't move to write anything else.

She's sort of actively been trying not to keep track. The first day was a mess of sickness and crying and then waiting in the training center all day trying to find familiar people, and finding none. Nill's not sure if after that just one day went by or if she spent several like that. She doesn't want to know.
its been quiet.

You just need to use the time you have wisely. Learn. Work. Hope that whatever you do doesn't get the people around you killed.
It kind of sucks.
Nill's feathers ruffle a little before smoothing out again, and she decides that a subject change might be nice.
have you been out of the tower?
no subject
"No, not yet. I wasn't sure if we were allowed to go out at all."
no subject
there are a lot of things outside of the tower.
is there anything you miss?
Obviously she couldn't help with the stuff that mattered, the things that were truly important. But maybe she could find something that would help to tide Megan over until she could have those things again, even if it was an otherwise insignificant gesture when compared to this place.

"I miss music, and dancing. I love to dance. I used to go to clubs sometimes and twirl around and forget the world." Megan sighed, pushing back a stray lock of pink hair from her eyes. "It'd be nice to feel normal, don't you think?"
no subject
She has to stop and think about that for a moment. It's not that the idea of normalcy was foreign to her, but she's not sure she ever really felt normal. She hadn't been raised in the kind of environments that inspired one to feel normal. Not when she was basically a piece of meat for attributes she was born with. It's hard to imagine what feeling normal is supposed to be like, other than feeling close to content with your place in life. That much, at least, she remembered.
There are a few clubs in the city.

"Would you care to go sometime? I could use the company." And from the looks of it, she figured Nill could too. For as much of an oddity as Megan was, at her core, she was still just a teenager from Wales. She liked pizza and footballers and One Direction. She liked dancing and shopping and spending hours on the phone. She was normal. And she thought that Nill deserved a chance at that too.

I've never been to one before.
I could try it.
Though truth be told, she's not sure how she'd do in a club with her wings. Weren't they full of people? The idea of being touched much wasn't a pleasant one, but she could at least make an effort. If it would make Megan happy then why not?
no subject
good leave off spot?
we can try it when you're a little more settled here.
The reassurance definitely helps. Nill knows her doundaries tend to be vastly different from the boundaries of others, and though Megan might not know that, she's still grateful.
sounds great c:
It would be so nice to have a friend. So nice, so normal.
