Over the past couple of days, tributes may have noticed increased activity and discussion between Peacekeepers and that Escorts may have appeared to be on edge. Any attempts by tributes to discover what is happening are quickly shut down, but in the end they don't have long to wait for an answer.

As of today, Tributes will be told via Peacekeeper, Escort, or one of the notices now hung up around the Tribute Centre, the following order:

Mandatory Tribute Curfew

11pm - 7am

For the safety of citizens and Tributes a curfew is now in effect for all tributes. Between the hours listed above, all Tributes must report to and remain within their designated district suites. Any Tributes who fail to return to or are discovered outside their assigned floor between these hours will face disciplinary action.


You didn't think it had escaped the Capitol's notice how many of your little acts of rebellion occurred after dark, did you?

It's the way she pauses that keeps him from asking much more. He's not prone to prying, and if she's not offering more, he doesn't really have reason to ask. Besides, he can connect with that much in his own way.

He nudges his shades up onto his forehead and taps a finger beside his eyes. "I'm kind of unusual too, thee? Motht throllth jutht have yellow with normal pupilth and iritheth." He straightens the glasses. "The double hornth are uncommon, too."

Technically he's not sure if Nill has seen other trolls yet, or how familiar she is in general, but it's not like there's a huge selection of them around. Terezi has her red eyes beneath her own glasses, and horn shape is variable enough to start. But even then, that's not really the point. He may not know her well, but when she took the trouble to be nice to him, he feels like it can't hurt to offer a point of connection. She's not weird alone, this way.

You don't know how much she appreciates that Sollux. Her wings are a very common conversation point with new people, one that tends to be repetitive and often times has the potential to go unfortunately if people ask the wrong questions.

For a moment she doesn't actually notice a difference after he takes the glasses off, thinks that maybe he didn't move the shades at all, but she notices quickly enough that that's not the case. It's just that the color of his eyes matches the color of his shades almost exactly, and he doesn't have pupils at all. The horns she'd noticed, but only distantly - she was pretty sure she'd been someone else at some point who also had four horns instead of two, but she just sort of thought that people with four didn't get pulled into worlds like this as often.

The intent isn't lost on her. A warm smile spreads across Nill's face, bright and genuine, before she looks away to write another response.
