Ariadne wasn't entirely sure what to do. It wasn't like she was the best at mentoring at the best of times, but the least she could do was meet the rest of her District. Properly. Not just in passing, or watching them on the screens.

The lockdown was a pretty good opportunity for that, actually. What with the curfew cutting off any parties that might have been going on, she found it easy enough to get the lot of them together. Albeit a bit awkwardly.

She sat on one of the couches, frowning a little as she glanced between the lot of them. "You're mostly new, aren't you?"

Clint was torn between buying and not buying this 'angel of the lord' story. He'd seen a lot of crazy shit, but this guy? He was right up there on the Scale of Insanity.

"The same way they take away anybody's anything. Hate to break it to you, buddy, but you are nobody's special snowflake here."

As to the point and completely unsugarcoated as Clint's words were, she had to admit, he had a point. None of them were special there, no matter what they were. "It's true. I don't claim to know how they've done any of this, but if they can pluck us from wherever we're supposed to be, I don't really think it's that far out of the realm of imagination to think that they're capable of taking away an angel's grace."

Castiel looked at Clint with a confused and slightly frustrated expression. He really wasn't sure why he was implying that Castiel was frozen water molecules.

"The contestants are chosen completely at random?" He had seen some contestants that hardly looked like they knew how to defend themselves. That didn't seem to make for a very competitive game.

Clint was kind of curious on that one too, so he turned to Ariadne.

"It seems so," she told them both with a mild frown. "I can't see any way the Capitol actually chooses them. It doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to it, not that I can tell."
