What's a young princess to do?
WHO| Chibi-Usa and anyone that comes across her
WHAT| Our pink-haired girl is coming to terms with everything
WHEN| 01- August
WHERE| D7’s floor, the Training Centre, and the Shopping districts
WARNINGS| None
District Seven’s Level
After being told she had been brought here to fight to the death for ‘glorious Panem’, given her communicator and credit card, in a daze Chibi-Usa allowed herself to be directed back to her districts floor and to her room. Once there she slept for the rest of the day willing herself not to cry through most of it.
The next morning she wakes with a start, at first thinking it had all a bad dream, rubbing at her eyes her first thought was to tell her Mama. After all she had just gotten home from staying with Usagi. As she starts to climb out of her bed she thinks maybe that dream meant Usagi needed her again?
It’s then she wakes up properly and looks around the room realising that she really had been kidnapped to another world.
What if she wasn't the only one they brought here?
“Usagi!?” she shouts as she comes running out of the room.
Training Centre
After talking to the people on her floor, Chibi-Usa comes to the training floor to look at it. She really doesn’t like what she sees, just so many weapons and people using them on each other. At least it didn’t look like they were trying to kill each other right now.
To say she was looking wide-eyed and befuddled would be an understatement, after wandering around she sits down on a bench, bringing her legs to her knees and sighing deeply.
“How am I supposed to help everyone here?” She hugs her legs tighter. “Puu, I really wish you were here right now. I even miss Usagi.”
Shopping Districts
Trying to get everything out of her mind, Chibi-Usa takes some time wandering the shopping district looking at a great many things but not actually trying to buy anything. There were so many crazy outfits, and strange things to have she was actually feeling a little overwhelmed at it all.
Where are all the normal clothes?
She soon finds herself standing in front of a window with a dress in the window that looks more like some crazy kind of mix of a pink marshmallow and a rice ball that was covered in glitter. She’s spending a lot of time wondering if it’s something to wear or some joke costume that could be edible.

But then again. This wasn't her world, what she did might not even be that big of a deal. A few more moments of fidgeting had her decide to at least try and explain.
"Usagi and I used our Millenium Silver Crystal's power to overpower and destroy Death Phantom's dark crystal, which also took out Death Phantom." she looked up at her earnestly because it was the truth after all.
"And it counts as twice because Usagi's present and my Present were being destroyed at the same time. So technically I helped save the world twice. But I've helped protect Tokyo lots of times!" Well she helped Usagi and other senshi protect the world, but she won't mention that.

But the Capitol didn't bring liars, not did they endorse bullshit. Thor and Harley Quinn and people who shouldn't exist were walking around here: in some fucked up universe, maybe, this girl actually HAD played a part in saving the whole goddamn world. Why Tokyo she'd never know, but it was as likely as any other place, really.
So. For now? Let's say that this was all true.
"Um. So. This crystal of yours. You have it HERE, right?"

Her hand goes to her chest at the question, at where he brooch would sit on her bow. If she had it that was.
"When I woke up. My brooch wasn't with me. So..."
She looks utterly crestfallen about this. While it was technically true that the crystal was inside her, it was also in her transformation brooch. And just summoning it was something she'd only been able to do the one time.

"Chibi Usa," she said softly, "I'm going to level with you. I'm going to do this because you'll be getting sad looks and hands thrown to the sky when they see you, and you won't know why until you ask. They took away the only means you had to defend yourself. The games they talk about, you run around in unfamiliar terrain, avoiding traps and monsters and hostile land, and then there are tributes, like you and me, who are supposed to kill each other. Some of them, like you, don't or won't want to, because that's just not what you do. But some of them DO want to, some have been bred for this in their bones, and whether they are merciful or not, they CAN kill you."
She licked her lips. "You find a group. Hell, I will lead you to them. Find the ones that can fight and will shoulder you, and you stick by them no matter what. There's a guy, Joel. You ask if you can stay by him in the games. Travel in a group, never go alone. Going alone is suicide. Learn how to camp, because you'll be roughing it the moment you step in that Arena. There will be rations, make them last. Sometimes the food in the Arena is poisoned."
She sighed. "Be yourself. That alone is going to get you sponsors, believe me. They'll be the ones that give you emergency rations. As for me, I train people if they need it. You let me know where you stand on that."

All this talk of poisoned food and people who will try to kill her without a thought, it's almost too much, but her mind keeps coming back to 'monsters'. She can at least find a little bit of strength in that, after all she's fought monsters, even managed to hold some off while the others regrouped.
Okay, never for long and she needed to be bailed out, but she still did it for the group.
She's quiet for almost too long after Mindy stops talking, while he mind catches up.
"So, you're like a sponsor too? If you're willing to help me?"
She isn't exactly sure what a sponsor is past Mindy saying they offer up extra food, but instead of directly asking she tries to make the connection herself through her question.

She paused. "Though I make exceptions for kids, because the odds are usually fucking stacked against us anyway."
If she could though, she'd do what she could for Chibi-usa. Those fucking bastards.

There's a moment where Chibi-Usa thinks that if she could just find a way to win without hurting anyone that maybe she could be better use. Then she remembers how big this tower felt and just how many people were training here not to mention just wandering in the common areas. Making her very unsure of her chances of doing that.
"But you won? They can't be... That, uh, stacked against us?"
no subject
She scoffed. "Oh sure, if you don't mind killing a few people. I took out five."
no subject
"You don't seem like someone who would kill people like that."
'Like that' meaning like it wasn't at all a big deal to have done it.
no subject
This was fucking maddening. Why the hell did they have her here?!
"But I can at least do something about that."
no subject
"Are you a sailor soldier?" After all, things might be easier to talk about if she and Chibi-Usa were actually the same. That and cleansing monsters sometimes looked like they were being killed too, so maybe that's just how Mindy saw it?
Thinking that she might also have to take an actual life made her shoulders droop. She really didn't want to do that.
no subject
And don't die. That was the important thing.
"Just stick by people who've got your back. You shouldn't be here, all right? This is insane."
no subject
After listening to Mindy's instructions she nods.
"I think I can do that." There's a pause. "How will I know if they have it?"
no subject
"Because there are still people here who care about us kids. Well, you kids anyway. Now me, I can tell who's got me by their eyes. I'm pretty good at telling if a person is a liar or not."
no subject
"Really?! How can you tell?" She seems really excited about learning this, after all she's told some pretty damn big lies in her tiny life, and had people sort of lie to her in a big way too, so somehow she feels like knowing this skill could be really helpful.
no subject
Or just be paranoid. That works too!
no subject
Sure she's not overly paranoid, and trusting to quite frankly an obscene degree, but surely she could learn to tell when people are lying.

"But I promise I can practise!" She gives a determined look.
no subject
She nodded. "Good. You'll need to know. One thing you don't want to do is go into the Arena blind."
no subject
"And you'll help me practise, right? So I don't go in blind?"
no subject
"Yeah, you can count on that. If you're not caring to know about how to fight, and you're serious about that, the least I can do is teach you how to do something so no one tricks you."
