He felt sick to his stomach. In fact Topher was fairly certain that he was still infected with whatever throwback disease this place brought in from its Tributes. Really, it would in everyone's best interest if he cancelled these appointments and went back to bed where he couldhide get better.
Of course that would mean staying in the Games and dying for the amusement of others. No. Hell no. He was better than that. He was better than most of these people, he just needed a chance to prove his worth! This was it. All he had to do was play nice and pretend for a few minutes that socializing wasn't complete agony. Adelle did it all the time and Topher knew for a fact that she detested most of their clients.
Topher wiped his sweaty hands down his sweater and mentally steadied himself. He could do this. He would do this. Once he was free he could help fix things so that whatever had happened to District Three would never happen again. He could make them better, bring peace and all that crap to the masses, or at least the Tributes. The knowledge he had was ripe for the Capitol. This moment was game changing. Right now he was ready to help himself and his fellow Tributes.
