Thicker Than Blood End
[OOC: ICly, this will happen the day before the Arena, so it will come after most of the intro logs for new characters. Your character will only have the day to react. OOCly, I wanted to get this up today so that people had a reasonable expectation of their character's headspace going into the Arena.]
There's no warning, not for the Escorts and certainly not for the Tributes or Visitors. Wherever the latter are, Peacekeepers - seemingly the entire payroll, if the number of them are any indication - surround the Visitors and, with very little explanation, slap handcuffs onto them, or muzzles and bridles for the less human Visitors. Anyone who physically protests is quickly restrained.
Tributes who fight back are subdued, sedated and returned to their bedrooms, where they will wake otherwise unharmed. Some Tributes will return to the Training Center and find none of their family and friends awaiting them. Any belongings that the Visitors amassed are quickly disposed of by Avoxes.
Escorts are told that they couldn't be notified ahead of time, because "some" of the Escorts have overestimated their influence and were not to be trusted. No one is told where their Visitors went, only that they are "safe".
The show of force, so pleasant at first, has been concluded.
