in my left hand there is the familiar {closed}
Who | Kíli and Katniss
What | Probably more awkward conversations
Where | District 12 Suites
When | After the Arena 09 Crowning and Fíli's arrival but before the mini-arena
Warnings/Notes | Talks of death, etc
The unspeakable fear Kili had attempted to ignore since his death in the first arena had finally come true: Fili had arrived in the Capitol, trapped here and forced to die alongside his younger brother. He had to talk to someone about it, someone who could perhaps understand. It only took a matter of moments to remember his conversation with Karkat, the glowing praise he spoke of Katniss and Peeta. They had gone through the Games together, come out together, something about love that Kili didn't really care all that much about, and now they were living as mentors in the District 12 suites. One of them, though, must know of a way to get Fili out alive even if Kili couldn't. His brother was not expendable, his brother would not suffer a death alone if Kili could help it. Nothing else mattered but this.
So, quietly stealing out from his room to leave his brother to rest, Kili made his way to the District 12 suites to seek out the one Karkat called Katniss. He thought he knew of the location of the mentor suites, according to their location in District 7's and knocked on the first door he came to. If it wasn't Katniss's room, he figured it wouldn't hurt to make another friend, though he was in no mood to make small talk.

no subject
"Uh...hi."
Taken aback a bit by the stout, small man in front of her, she wondered what was going on.
And hoped it wasn't something bad.
