Three days now and Lindsey was still sore over losing the silly competition. True that he hadn't paid it much mind when he was first told about it, also true that he never thought that he was going to make it so far to the end, but to lose it after being made to kill his own brother and be one of the last few remaining seemed a poor way to end it.

With a gin and tonic in hand, Lindsey paid the serving avox no mind as he watched people come and go from the open cocktail bar. Maybe tomorrow he'll venture out into the city.

"His death is... what?" She really wasn't sure she heard correctly. And honestly, she wasn't sure she wanted to.

He killed his brother and was so disgustingly nonchalant about it. Anna didn't know how to react, so of course she just looked annoyed.

Lindsey shrugged, looking more nonchalant than he felt. He honestly wasn't sure what he felt, he was still a little emotionally numb since dying, and not the death in arena.

"He asked me to," Lindsey explained. "The radiation poisoning from the last arena did a number to him."

"That must not have been easy." She said slowly, her expression softening when she thought about it more.

Lindsey made a life from reading facial expressions, he hadn't missed how hers had gone from anger and distaste to understanding. His inner self twitched in annoyance but he laughed anyway, lifting his glass to point at her. "What, you thought while Eliot's back was turned, I stabbed him in the back to get to the top?"
