Doing a poor job of hiding in plain sight // Open
Who| Rat, Shion, Karan, you and your ~*special guest*~
What| Rat is performing as Eve, and you're all invited!
Where| Some random theater in the Capitol. Not the grandest in town, but it's still pretty nice.
When| Sometime while the Thicker than Blood plot is going on. Tributes (except Shion) will receive special invitations to sit in a special section (including their guests), and there's plenty of posters around to draw in Capitolites.
Warnings/Notes|

The theater is buzzing with excitement. This was a great night indeed, the opening performance of a Tribute performing live in the Capitol! This rarely happened. The opportunity to see another facet of a known deadly Tribute was something that was impossible to resist.
Fellow Tributes would have been delivered special invitations for themselves and their guest to come enjoy the show. It consists of a few short one-act plays, with a song here or there. Much more akin to classic Vaudeville-style entertainment than a proper, full-length theater production. There was a re-enactment of the climax of Romeo and Juliet, and a bit of some of the humor from Don Quixote, as well as a few songs that he had learned the Capitol enjoyed. They were altered a bit, updated, and presented in ways the Capitol (and more importantly, the powers-that-be) could better understand and enjoy.
He wasn't the only person on the stage, there were supporting actors where necessary, and a live band and dancers when they were needed. He didn't really dance much, though.
The costumes were nothing short of what one would expect of live entertainment in the Capitol. He switched between a few different wonderful gowns, and if one didn't know who he was, you would be convinced that he was nothing short of a beautiful waif of a woman.
He even took some time to speak with the audience, and charmed them as best he could. He spoke sweetly, and made a couple vague jokes referencing some of the things he'd been up to in her face as a Tribute. To punctuate this, he twirled a butterfly knife idly in his fingers as he spoke with the microphone in the other. He flicked it high up above him, made a bow, and caught it just above his own head without raising from the bow. From this, he went off stage to prepare for another act.
In the end, the Capitol crowd loved it. During curtain calls, he bowed with those he'd shared the stage with, and said a few words of gratitude to the appreciative crowd. He even sniffed a bit, as though he were truly overwhelmed by their ovation.
For Shion and Karan
Following the show, he was positive Shion would find his way down to his dressing room. So he changed quickly out of the last gown he'd been in, and into something more like normal clothes. His body hurt, and ached in places that had nothing to do with being a little rusty at being on stage.
He'd, of course, gotten a visit from the Peacekeepers earlier, and a nice reminder of the power they had. Even he couldn't do much against body armor, and the injuries he'd sustained had forced him to make some last minute changes to the show. Nothing visible under normal clothing, or even lasting, but enough to make it a painful couple of days. Following the show, he'd return to living in Tribute Tower, and only come out here for rehearsals and performances. Overall, his escorts didn't mind him generating more exposure for himself, but they were angry that he'd done it on his own.
But he could deal with this much, even if it hurt. They'd made their point. So he was focused on the mirror in front of him, and in the process of removing his makeup. Any minute now, Shion would be bursting in here, he expected.

It ain't bad. He ain't bored, despite what his impassive expression might say. Part of him would've expected more live cullings but such as is of one what ain't of Alternia. His alternate, of Beforus, seems delighted, but its hard to tell with him. He thinks this time it might be something a little genuine. Gamzee meanwhile, bounces and shifts and fidgets in his seat, not quite keeping up with a lot of it, but swaying happily with the music. He looks back to his alternate, dressed up real pretty in a way what implied it wasn't just capitol doing, the way he stands with the capitol crowd to give ovation, and he thinks he's figured something out about his mute alter. Maybe.
"Go," He tells his alter, and Kurloz the first is starting off, heals clicking and a mask over his stitched mouth. He hasn't an idea what his alter might ask, or would even be able to in his muteness. Maybe just to get close to front, see the actors. Maybe to bat charcoal lined lashes up at the lot of them. Messiahs he hoped not for that last one. It would probably be best then to follow him, and so he does, making sure Gamzee sticks to his side. And making it so the players are approached by not one, but three trolls.
Sorry about the hella delay
The three of them looked similar, which was unusual. He recognized one, but the other two were new. He'd heard there were visitors in the tower. He knew there wasn't anyone that would see him, so he was fairly sure he hadn't left anyone waiting. Not that he was in any shape to show his face around anyone he knew from home. They would either laugh, take advantage, or look down on him. He wasn't interested in any of them.
"Hello, everyone," he said in a light, lilting voice. "Thank you very much for coming to the show. It truly means a lot to me."
apologies right back for the same
As does Gamzee in his way, rousing from his distraction (growing ever more frequent these days, the Initiate notes). "Fuck yeah, motherfucking you're motherfucking welcome you is! Shit was bitchin what to be of gandering."
His alter, meanwhile, gestures on. Hands fold over his chest, then go out. He preforms all sorts of waving gestures, added with the a tap to the head once (a "that was clever" motion), an outward motion with his hands from the tempt ("amazing"), a coy bow with an arm folded behind the back and knowing smirk as he lifts up, a boasting gesture, to say he does such things too, or at least close to it. He folds his hands in a prayer gesture then raises them to the side of him, palms up and head tilted; "won't you tell me..." what he wanted to know, the Initiate wasn't sure.
He takes a guess. "BROTHER WANTS AT TO KNOW WHAT GOT YOU UP WITH DOING THIS. What means all did capitol allow one what be a tribute in such preformances. DIDN'T UP AND HAVE A KNOW THIS WAS A THING DONE."
Re: apologies right back for the same
"And I'm very glad to see that you all enjoyed it, even if it looks like you come from a very different place than I do." He brought a hand delicately up near his collarbone. "It makes you think of just how universal some things are, doesn't it?"

"It does, doesn't it. BUT TRULY, WHAT PROPER CIVILIZED WORLD AIN'T GOT NO MOTHERFUCKING PERFORMANCE? Would be a travesty unforgivable it up and would," He says. His alter folds a hand over his heart and gives a solemn nod in agreement.
"HE MUST TELL, THIS IS GOOD TO KNOW TRULY. Consider his grateful for the passing of such information."

"THIS ONE WOULD APPRECIATE THE MOTHERFUCKING WAY AND RITE OF PREFORMANCE, HE'S SURE, IF ALL HE FOR SUCH A TIME HE IS 'ROUND TO IN SOUJORNING," he says. When he says 'this one' he jerks a thumb at his alter, who looks all too eager. He pauses for a moment, then adds, "Perhaps one day he could take to preaching. A PLACE UNSUITED THIS WOULDN'T BE IN ENTIRE. Tell, what is your calling proper?"

But Shion did, he knew the way Rat held himself and the way he walked. And it was different, like he was in pain.
He burst through the door but did not rush over to Rat. He was still angry, still hurt that he had avoided him for so long. Running away from everyone Shion understood, it was what Rat did. But he shouldn't run away from Shion.
As Karen moved forward to fuss over Rat and tell him how wonderful he had been Shion stood by the door, silently watching.

She glanced between them. Even she could see there was a problem here. "Shion, I'll wait outside. I think you two need to talk a bit." She squeezed Rat and Shion's shoulders each in turn in encouragement, and swept out of the door. She leaned against the opposite wall and sighed. She was probably in for a bit of a wait.
With her gone, any light in the room seemed to go with her, and a wall had gone up in her place. Rat returned to the task of cleaning his face, rather sure Shion had something to break this silence with.
