Thicker Than Blood Start
For Tributes with keen eyes, they'll notice that Peacekeeper presence seems increased and yet infinitely more ineffective in the last few weeks. Peacekeepers seem harried, as do the Stylists, and most of the Escorts titter and plot without alerting the Tributes as to what, exactly, is so exciting. They simply say that this weekend they'll know.
And so it happens that on the weekend in question, the Tributes are woken by their Escorts early and brought to a restaurant for a hearty breakfast. The restaurant is nothing spectacular, although they seem to be trying to make an impression on the television cameras that float around. The sleepy, cranky meal goes by and then the Tributes are led back to their Suites for a mandatory meeting.
Sitting on couches and the floor, in chairs and on windowsills, standing off to the side - people from the Tributes' homes are waiting to greet them in each District Suite. Some are confused, some accepting, some frightened and some elated to see their beloved. Either way, it should be an eventful reunion.

so LATE but I've been meaning to get to this!
“A dragon…?” He gasps in surprise. Aside from meeting the one fellow tribute, he has yet to see any more around here. Then, approaching, he notices Terezi. From their conversation before, he has to wonder. “Is this your dragon?”
Likewise, I'm really sorry for the delay.
"Hi!" the device around the dragon's neck crackles as she butts her nose against the man to sniff at him. "Who are you?"
Terezi meanwhile, wanders over at a slower pace. "Yeah. This is her." Her tone is more reserved than the dragon's, but she doesn't sound unhappy. Just a little weary. Kain can maybe understand why.
no problem! I'd needed to catch up some here
He certainly can understand the weary feeling, though, and gives Terezi a sympathetic look (by his standards anyway). It must be amazing to have someone she cared for so return. But at the same time, the dragon is here, in this awful world. "I'm sure you never expected this..."

"Not really," Terezi responds, when he addresses her again. Who in their right mind could expect something like this? It probably has a semblance of precedent--there was Iskierka, after all. But this dragon was only a few minutes old. She never anticipated them being able to grab from such a specific point in time.
"She doesn't have a name," Terezi continues on to explain, trying to shake herself out of her musings and be a bit more helpful than her lusus. "I think I'm supposed to name her, but I didn't get the chance to."

"It's still good to meet you, regardless. We dragoons have always held great respect for your kind."
