( open ) Arrival
Who| Fíli and anyone!
What| Fíli arrives, and he is still quite lost despite whatever information has been given to him.
Where| Anywhere around the Training Center (also District 6 Suites), let me know in the subject line!
When| Now & during the next couple of days (ICly)
Warnings/Notes| None that I can think of.
FOR KÍLI;
Things happen entirely outside of him, beyond himself. Fíli feels as though he is nowhere at all, words spoken that he does not hear, things placed on his hands that he cannot touch. He demands then he asks, he all but begs, where his brother is, where Lake-town is, but the people around him only seem to answer questions that he is not making. Vague mentions of some games and a battle to the death hover at the back of his mind, but by the time he thinks to ask about those, he finds himself being taken to someplace else.
He does not stay for one second once he is left at the apartment, and makes off to find a way back, or at least someone he knows. He walks and runs, for however long he does not know, screaming and shouting for Kíli, for Bofur or Óin, but there is no one, he recognizes no one or nothing in this place.
It is a fear that coils at the pit of his stomach, settling heavier with each step he takes. How did he find himself here, and why? How is he to return? Panic surrounds him until it is too great for him to keep going and he all but collapses against a wall, sliding down until he is sitting on the ground, legs folded, head resting against his knees.
He can't breathe, and he realizes now that he is also lost.
FOR ANYONE;
All of this may be explained a thousand times over, still Fíli remains just as lost. He has found his brother, but that is as much familiarity as this place brings. He walks the halls and the rooms, everything strange and entirely foreign, and therefore all too intimidating to him, but he does not show it. He makes his best effort to keep his step sure as he peeks into each corner, watches each person that passes him attentively, and opens every door that he does not find locked - including doors to other people's rooms, but it is not as if he knows that.

"Perhaps our conversation will run smoother if you can tell me what 'newbies' means, as well as what is, uh... 'punking on my lingo'."
The rest he could piece together. Probably.
no subject
He shakes his head and angrily types something.
"And you're a newbie because you new. Duh."
no subject
"I do not mean to joke the way you speak, I am sorry. It is just that none speak in this manner where I am from. You say words that I have never even heard before, you see."
no subject
The most horrifying thing about Punchy is that beneath his ridiculous exterior, he's not entirely stupid. He already has his suspicions about what time period and even what world Fili is from.
"You related to the other shortstuff guy? You his pops or something?"
no subject
"Kíli," he says with the slight tone of question, though he is sure that is who he is talking about. Nearly everyone had either mentioned Kíli to him or actually confused the two of them when first meeting him, after all. "Yes, he is my brother."
no subject
He's not jealous of Kili, but he's curious. He can't think of many other, if any, people who're coming in as parts of families. As he's trying to figure out by which mechanism people are brought in, it might be useful information.
no subject
He wonders if perhaps Punchy asks because Kíli is so different from him. He had met others in this place before who had mentioned that too after all, and since he cannot actually understand the question - 'biological', or 'homie', another two words he is not familiar with - it is only normal that he draws to that conclusion.
no subject
Punchy looks back up at Fili, starting to warm to the little guy if only because he hasn't outright insulted his dialect so much as just not understood it. Punchy scooches over on the couch so Fili can sit down if he likes.
no subject
At least that is what it sounds like to Fíli. He takes the invitation and sits down on the couch next to Punchy, still glancing curiously at the system from which the sound is coming from.
"I have others like such, but not Kíli. We are of the same mother and father."
no subject
"You gon' have each others' backs in the Arena?"
no subject
He promptly nods at the question, no hesitance whatsoever - even though he does not yet know exactly what awaits them at the arena. "Of course. I will always protect my brother."
no subject
He barely remembers his sister, and while he knows that's a blessing, he also wonders at times if that's worse. If she's relegated not to being a memory of a person but as an ideal, a tragic story.
"That's good. You two keep it tight. You know, I don't be icing no homies in the Arena, if you guys need someone to hustle with."
no subject
"You may count on us just as well," he tilts his head briefly, words hesitant as he is not sure if he assumed correctly. "Now if I may, I will go check on my brother. He was not feeling too well in the morning."
no subject
And he returns to his work.
no subject
And standing up, he offers Punchy a respectful bow before turning around and making his way back to Kíli's room.
