Who: Lorne and open.
What: Lorne chilling out after getting canned by Lindsey.
When: Soon after being sent back to the capitol
Where: A comfy green room.
Warnings: None
Lorne watched the screen in front of him gingerly nursing his sea breeze trying to wrap his head around what just happened. Lindsey just killed him, ans what the hell did he mean he died anyway? He should have know it wasn't safe to trust anyone here, for all he know this was filled with evil mirror versions of people that had just been given a shave.
He didn't know why he was watching this, but what else did he have to do? This was one time he really wished he could get drunk, hell who knows maybe he could. Every thing was so mixed up here, maybe he would just down a couple shot of vodka and see where it got him.

Anyway, she wanders in, stopping short when she realises what Lorne is watching. And that a person is green. These people in the Capitol with their strange fashions make Eponine wary.
"I'm sorry, M'sieur. I - I didn't know anyone was here."

"It's okay come sit down." Lorne patted the seat next to him. If there was one thing he was good at it was talking, maybe it would make her feel better. "Is that a French accent I hear?" Really there was no telling what it was, it sounded like it but he didn't think that mattered here. either way it was a conversation opener.

"Yes, I am from France. Paris, actually. You have maybe heard of it, M'sieur?"
Her attention goes to the screen. She's never seen a television before.
"Is that the arena? Where they put us? How is it we can see? Did they put you there too? Or are you one of them?"

"I was in there too, got kill by someone I thought was a friend." His face fell a little as his thoughts returned to Lindsey.
"At least we get a little time off before we go back right?" He tried to see the bright side.

She's quiet too, thinking about it. It's not fair. She doesn't want to die over and over in an arena so these strange people can watch.
"Do we have to go back? Can we not just say, 'no', M'sieur?"

He felt so sorry for this girl, he could tell how large a toll this was taking on her. If he was a little more heroic he would try to help her win, but he wasn't any better off than her.

She doesn't need to say it. There's not a chance in hell that she can win.
"You know, they gave me a score of three. That is the lowest score that has been given out. It is the same as the lady in pink on the screen. It means I am an easy target, every time. I'm not going back. There are places to hide, are there not? Can we not hide? Or, if we are sent back, all of us just refuse to fight?"
