And there they brew a beer so brown;
Who | District 7 and YOU!
What | A proper dwarven party! AKA lots of food, alcohol, and noise.
When | Saturday evening, Week 7.
Where | District 7 Suites
Warnings | None atm. Will update if needed!
Notes | Kili will be trying to grab people from the elevator to join in, if you need a reason for your character to be there! Otherwise just hop in and tag around!
Throughout most of the day, Kili can be found wandering about the suites, but particularly between the living room and the dining area, picking up chairs and settling them around the table until it seems there’s enough for a small army of people to sit near the table. He can also be seen whispering to avoxes and making requests left and right for this or that. The words ‘keg’ and ‘pipeweed’ are thrown around entirely too much for a single dwarf, but with all of his other activity, it may be a welcome relief from his established routine of moping during the day and getting positively blitzed at night.
As afternoon progresses into evening, Kili’s energy level only seems to rise as he ducks in and out of his room to check on preparations and as soon as the first dish is brought in, he’ll be darting from room to room toannoy gather his district mates to come join him at the table.
Kili has, in true dwarven fashion, not only requested one dish to be served but enough food to cover the table. By the end of the procession of avoxes, the tables is literally covered with meats, cheeses, vegetables, gravies, puddings, biscuits, and so much more. On the counter of the kitchen are two kegs of beer, which Kili has decided is simply not enough, and several bottles of various wines. Kili himself is seated near the head, eagerly looking about, or near the elevator, pressing the button and trying to corral any he finds inside the magic steel carriage to join in. Other times, he will be filling steins and trying to press them into the hands of those nearest, encouraging them to drink and be merry in his effort to recreate the atmosphere of a proper dwarven gathering.
Soon enough, though, he’ll settle back down into his seat, grabbing at bits of food and meat as he makes easy conversation with any he sees. He hopes that the party will pick up, that having a host of people will make him feel less homesick. In fact, he will certainly contribute a few songs of his own and exciting stories about trolls and dragons and mountains of gold.

"She ain't a dwarf," he points out somewhat wryly to Kili, then glances at Ellie. "When'd you get beer in a military school?"
no subject
"Let's just say I didn't spend all my time in school?" She would have said 'how the hell do you think I got bitten' but she wasn't about to do that in front of Kili. She took another huge swig of beer, just incase Joel tried to take it away.
"Also I'm fifteen, now, thank you very much." No one had told her yet that he age reset after every arena. "I'm fifteen, and for tonight, I can be an honourary dwarf." She grinned, and looked at Kili. "Right?"
no subject
"Tonight everyone's an honorary dwarf," he proudly proclaims, beaming up at both of them. It's easy to say such a thing to any among the race of men. Of course, his homesickness makes him wish they actually were dwarves. "Including her."
no subject
Joel is good at prioritizing like that.
"Just don't get sick," he offers finally, with one last stern look before taking a sip of his own tankard. It's a lot darker than the beer he drank back home, even before the outbreak. Heartier, even. Hoppy. It's good, though.
"This ain't bad, where'd you get it?" he asks Kili.
no subject
And then proceeds to down the rest of her beer.
It tasted kind of gross, really, but it was rule-breaking that made it taste good.
no subject
"The avoxes," he replies cheerfully around the lip of his stein. "They'll get you anything you need."
Including, apparently, feasts that could very well buckle tables.

"They are fucking creepy as shit," She agrees. "Don't have tongues or fucking anything." She reaches past Kili to grab some sort of fried pastry thing from behind him. Beer needed some munchies, right?
no subject
Glancing between the two of them, he busies his mouth with the lip of his tankard as he takes another swig. Yes, perfect. The smoothest.
"I feel bad for 'em," he replies, despite their answers, shrugging.
no subject
Besides, is this a party or what? No time to talk about things like that, not when Ellie's here and clearly deserves to have a good time with her friends.
"So what's on the menu? What're your recommendations?" Joel asks, glancing over the table of food, not even sure where to start with such bounty.
no subject
She doesn't really consider either of them human, anymore. She gives Kili a sympathetic look anyway, before immediately being distracted by the idea of food. "Yeah! I'm starving!"
no subject
"The salted pork's especially good," he begins, mentally compiling a list of the most delicious things on the table. "Any of the meats, really. But I'd stay away from the vegetables."
He shakes his head at them conspiratorially, "Too green."

She wandered off to the food table, still talking about all the tasty shit she could think of.
no subject
"Broccoli's gross," he continues, despite the grin on his face. "Beer's the only vegetable for me."
no subject
"Not a lot of fresh food where we come from," he comments lightly to the dwarf, as if by way of explanation. "It's all pretty luxurious for us."
