Who: Pruna, Duck and Sandy
What: Pruna takes Sandy to the zoo. Cute happens

Pruna had watched Sandy and Mindy's battle at the edge of her seat, worried for Sandy because she knew there was no way Sandy was strong enough to beat Mindy but she was proud of her girlfriend. Because instead of being all leaky eyed and hiding she had went to get revenge and she had been really brave.

She kept an eye out on her room, waiting for her to be brought back. They better bring her back, she had done the best she had ever done Pruna thought, so people better have liked her. Once she realised she was back Pruna went to find the present she had bought her because heroes deserved presents. At least, doing something good deserved treats, Pruna had always got honey cakes after succeeding on missions.

"Be coming on Duck, you will be liking Sandy."

So Sandy probably wouldn't even have time to wake up before Pruna bursts through her door, Duck in one arm, her other hand behind her back.

"Be waking up sleepy head."

Pruna wrinkled her nose at that, emotions were stupid but humans were pretty cool she thought. Most of them anyways, some of them were stupid. But animals seemed to have a more effective way of dealing with things.

She blinked at the question, thinking about it. She remembered her first solo mission, about two years ago now. But that wasn't what Sandy wanted to know, the first person she had killed, personally...

"I did be being really little, I can no really be remembering everything but Taiwin did be torturing a man to be getting information and I did be learning." She frowned trying to remember the very hazy scene, it wasn't her earliest memory but it was close. It was before she had even pledged to the Dark God.

"He did be showing me how to be ending him and I did be doing it, so I do be thinking that did be being the first time because I would have been remembering and he would no have had to be showing me." She was a fast learner after all.

"Well that makes sense." How could she have killed someone before learning after all?

The cat was back to fishing so Sandy followed the path a bit more, but slowly in case Pruna wanted to watch the creature find another fish.

"And when did you start working for your god?"

"All my life." Pruna was watching the cat, trying to work out how it was catching the fish. "I did be swearing to it when I did be being... five I do be thinking." She wrinkled her nose, ages and time were not a thing she was good at.

The cat was studying something just below the surface of the water while they spoke, and with surprising speed it lashed out with it's paw sending another fish flying into the air. It was scooping the flopping slippery things from the water. Maybe they could do the same in a future arena.

"I think when I was five I was still figuring out how to pour my own cereal." She remarked off handed.

Pruna was definitely taking notes, grinning as she watched how effective the cats method was. If they could do that they wouldn't go hungry at all as long as there was water and fish!

She laughed at Sandy's words, not unkindly. "That's because no one did be training you."

Sandy took the laugh as a good thing and grinned a little brighter. Things always seemed less awful when she had Pruna nearby. She didn't feel the weight of the Capitol crushing down upon her or the tension in her guts from expecting to die at any point.

"If I'd grown up in your world I wouldn't have been so weak. Just look how strong I am now and I've only known you for a little while."

Had it really only been a little while? Less then a year sure but it felt like Pruna had always been there even if Sandy had done a whole arena more then Pruna.

"Well you might have been, but no if you had been brought up with me." She grinned and started down the path again. "What else do they be having at this zoo?"

Sandy shrugged and as they continued through the trees and came out the other side Pruna's answer.

"Elephants!" Sandy gasped in shock as they practically ran into the massive creatures. They seemed ridiculously large when standing next to them. An entire heard of them helping themselves to some of the local food. A pond nearby had others bathing themselves by sucking up water and spraying themselves. It made Sandy laugh in delight.

"Wow."

Pruna's mouth dropped open at the giant creatures. They were huge! They could squish a person just by standing on them! She watched them spraying water at each other, "Why do they be having tails on their faces? What do they be being? I have no never been seeing anything like them."

Sandy grinned brightly, unable to contain her glee.

"These are elephants! And those aren't tails those are their noses!" She laughed. "They can use them to pick stuff up, suck up water to spit at each other or spit into their mouths. They use their noses to put stuff in their mouths too." She explained looking back at the peaceful giants.

"Elephants." Pruna said the unfamilliar word, holding it in her head to remember it. Using their noses to pick stuff up. That was useful too! "I do be wanting a nose like that, and a tail like a monkey, then we would be being awesome in the arena."

The mental image was enough to make her laugh.

"At this rate we'll have you with a trunk, a tail, probably two extra arms so you can hold six knives at once." She teased playfully. As if Pruna wasn't deadly enough with just two arms.

"Better be careful what you wish for though." She pulled what she believed to be a creepy face "I hear sometimes the Capitol turns tributes into mindless monsters when they die! Just to freak out the other tributes."

"Six knives would be being cool." Pruna grinned, imagining it and then wrinkled her nose, "Being a monster would be being cool, but it would be being stupid if they did be doing it to be freaking you out."

There were a lot of people she wouldn't mind freaking out at all.

"Just be sure to let me know if you've been turned into a monster so I don't run away." She half joked. "Maybe do something like this." She held both her hands up in a thumbs up gesture.

Because now that she was thinking about it...this was a perfectly reasonable concern to have.
