Who| Everyone, pretty much. Particularly Secret Santa people and those Creuntus is fucking with.
What| Holiday times!
Where| The Tribute Training center
When| The whole week, but Creuntus' gifts arrive today.
Warnings/Notes| none atm. Please add any in thread headers. Also, for secret santa, if you are the giver start a thread with your giftee's name (unless you two have worked something else out between you). You can use the District threads below, or choose a different setting of your own.

Every floor public space is dripping with holiday decorations.

The decorations are themed, ridiculously so. Every surface is covered, and a table sits proudly full of holiday treats and spirits, kept stocked constantly by the avoxes. Cheerful music plays softly throughout the whole building, though luckily for everyone the Capitol doesn't really know what Christmas carols are.

Those with secret santa's have a cheery, passive-aggressive note reminding them not to disappoint anyone and ruin their holiday.

Those that have expressed a want for some object from home will find a box on their bed sometime during the day, with a merry holiday greeting from Cruentus. Inside they will find the object of their desire, or something similar, crafted from their words.

In blown glass. Pretty, decorative, utterly useless.

Bert's guns, Punchy's goggles, Sigma's music box, Maximus' leg, Mindy's knife, Terezi's dragon cane...on and on, as many gifts as Creuntus could find out. Those that were with them when they were pulled are more perfect replicas, those that they have just described obviously have an artistic touch to them.

"Sigma!"

She was prepared for him, having seen a picture, but it still took her a couple glances to be sure it was him. She immediately walked over, holding out the box with the sweater inside. (Several large fluffy white kittens in christmas hats danced across the chest of it.)

"Hey. Uh -- You are Sigma, right? I'm Ellie. Your uh - secret Santa, or whatever." She offered him a smile and held the box out more firmly. "Here."

The Doctor was startled to hear his own name, even moreso from a voice he didn't recognize - Sigma turned to Ellie as she caught up with him, clearly confused. His bewilderment didn't disappear with her explanation either, and he stared down at her outstretched arms awkwardly. It had been his first Christmas gift in a very, very long time, and the Doctor took the package from Ellie as if he hadn't decided whether or not to keep it.

"O-Oh... Thank you, Ellie," he said gratefully, albeit shyly. Yes, that was right, the rules of Secret Santa meant that his name had been entered to receive a gift as well, didn't it? For some reason, he had expected whomever had been assigned to him to throw away their slip of paper.

He was also unclear on proper gift-opening etiquette. "Should... Should I open this here?"

"Yeah!" She said, having absolutely no idea on the etiquette either, but she wanted to see if he liked it. She wasn't fazed by his obvious bewilderment - she'd be pretty weirded out be a stranger giving her a gift too. She was just lucky that hers had come from Venus.

"I uh, I had to kind of guess on a size, so I hope it fits okay."

Sigma opened the package carefully, the sort never to tear a gift box or paper so they could be reused, and withdrew the Christmas sweater. He stared at it blankly for a moment before a grin rippled across his face, creasing the corners of his mouth in unfamiliar places. The Doctor was not a man who smiled often.

He doesn't worry much about hamming it up in front of a stranger. He was a six-foot cyborg with a cat named Bill Nye; he didn't have much respect to lose. "Look at the purrecious festive kittens! How pawsitively adorable." Immediately the man tugged the sweater over his dress shirt. It clung tightly around the bulk of his cybernetic arms, but otherwise fit well. It seemed he loved his gaudy sweater unironically.

She snorts and starts to laugh as he makes puns, but she seemed honestly happy that he enjoyed his present.

"Hahaha, God those are awful. I fucking love puns though. You should see the book Wyatt gave me sometime, just really really bad puns all the way down."

She smiles at him and brushed some lint off the sweater. "Lookin' good, gramps. Not too shabby."
futilecycle: (You know it's true:)

Pleased to see someone in the Tower cheerful for once, Sigma allows Ellie to touch his sweater, though he usually hates being crowded. The Doctor's smile disappeared suddenly when Wyatt's name was mentioned, but he quickly recovered, feigning jealousy. "So Wyatt thinks he can provide the puns around here, huh? I'll show him who the real meowstermind is."

Less seriously, he laughed, folding his arms on his chest. "Thank you, Ellie. And Meowry Christmas to you, I like your present very much."
onlyimmune: (smug as shit)

Ellie snorted, her face wrinkling up as she laughed, apparently completely oblivious to his change of expression when she'd mentioned Wyatt.

"Meowry Christmas to you too, Gramps. Have a good one, okay?"
