Who| Everyone, pretty much. Particularly Secret Santa people and those Creuntus is fucking with.
What| Holiday times!
Where| The Tribute Training center
When| The whole week, but Creuntus' gifts arrive today.
Warnings/Notes| none atm. Please add any in thread headers. Also, for secret santa, if you are the giver start a thread with your giftee's name (unless you two have worked something else out between you). You can use the District threads below, or choose a different setting of your own.

Every floor public space is dripping with holiday decorations.

The decorations are themed, ridiculously so. Every surface is covered, and a table sits proudly full of holiday treats and spirits, kept stocked constantly by the avoxes. Cheerful music plays softly throughout the whole building, though luckily for everyone the Capitol doesn't really know what Christmas carols are.

Those with secret santa's have a cheery, passive-aggressive note reminding them not to disappoint anyone and ruin their holiday.

Those that have expressed a want for some object from home will find a box on their bed sometime during the day, with a merry holiday greeting from Cruentus. Inside they will find the object of their desire, or something similar, crafted from their words.

In blown glass. Pretty, decorative, utterly useless.

Bert's guns, Punchy's goggles, Sigma's music box, Maximus' leg, Mindy's knife, Terezi's dragon cane...on and on, as many gifts as Creuntus could find out. Those that were with them when they were pulled are more perfect replicas, those that they have just described obviously have an artistic touch to them.

Pruna was well trained to notice when her surroundings were different, it was one of the first things she had ever learned. So her eyes went straight to the box when she entered her room and she picked up the note.

Kevin had sort of explained Santa, that it was a lie people told for a reason he hadn't quite made clear. And she knew that they had to give presents to honour their fellow tributes sacrifices. She wasn't too sure why she had a box and a note from Santa.

"Sandy?" She poked her head out of her door.

Sandy was still in the common area, as usual snacking on something. This appeared to be a ball of cheese she was casually munching on like it was an apple.

Eating healthy was for people who expected to live a long time.

"What's up?"

"This did be being in my room." She held out the unopened box and letter with a frown, picking up some cheese of her own.

Sandy glanced at it curiously, "Looks like a gift." She pointed out the obvious, and decided not to point out that it was probably something unpleasant knowing the Capitol.

"someone must like you." She added.
knifewithnoname: (oh I see)

"It do be saying. 'It is the thought that counts. Santa.'" She wrinkled her nose, "Why would Santa be giving me a present?"

Sandy's eyebrow quirked, startled at the revelation.

"I...well...I mean you are pretty great." Sandy reasoned. "Open it up, let's see what you got!" She was starting to get excited at the idea that Pruna had gotten her first Christmas gift and she hoped beyond hopes it was a good one.

"But Santa do be giving gifts to good people." No one could argue that Pruna was good in any sense of the word. "Why would he be giving one to me?"
justoutrunyou: (I'm a little bitch)

[personal profile] justoutrunyou 2013-12-26 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well..." Sandy had to think about it for a moment.

"You take care of me...and others you like. And you fight bravely. Those are all good things."
knifewithnoname: (excited smiles)

"Hmm." Pruna wasn't sure that was a good thing. But she nodded slowly and looked at the box. She had never received a gift before and she was quite excited to see what was inside.

Her eyes lit up when she saw the knife, though she could tell at once it was not a proper dagger. It was still beautiful, and someone as skilled as Pruna could still do some damage with it.

"It do be being amazing."

Sandy's eyes went wide in wonder at the gift, but logic kicked in and she sat up sharply looking around to see if anyone was watching.

"Hide it." She warned through her teeth as an Avox glanced at her wondering if she needed something.

"There's no way security would let you keep something like that...would they?" She wondered out loud trying to block the Avox's vision with her back.

A moment later the knife was gone, concealed in Pruna's sleeve like it had never existed in the first place. Pruna's eyes were still shiny in excitement though. What could Santa be wanting her to do?

"What they do no be knowing do no be hurting them."
justoutrunyou: (how small)

[personal profile] justoutrunyou 2013-12-28 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Sandy relaxed and then grinned wickedly.

"Actually in this case, what they don't know might let you hurt them eventually." She joked darkly and hoped that Pruna wouldn't do something foolish now that she had a tool to do it with.
knifewithnoname: (fascinating)

[personal profile] knifewithnoname 2013-12-29 11:57 am (UTC)(link)
Pruna grinned, "It just might be." She decided she liked this Santa person after all.
