Whether in their room, or in their mail boxes, various people connected with the games are receiving Secret Santa information.

Even if they didn't sign up for it.

For those given Tributes, a small summary of their deaths in included, with a neatly written note:

Be sure to help out Tribute celebrate the holiday season by honoring their courageous sacrifices!

For those who do not have a Tribute, they are given a simple list of what the Capitol believe someone in their demographic would enjoy. As if a Tribute could not figure out that a young, Capitol woman might enjoy "Perfume, Bubbble bath, Chocolates."

The note concludes by letting the gift givers know that gifts will be traded on December 22rd.

"Is that any weirder then half the stuff the Capitol does?" Sandy pointed out trying to sound like an argument about Santa Claus was a totally grown up matter.

Pruna thought about that, "No." She shrugged, "But that was just what Kevin did be saying, that it did be being a lie that people did be saying." And Kevin was cool and was a victor, she doubted he would tell her anything wrong. But Sandy was her girlfriend and definitely never lied to her.

"Have you been seeing this Santa?"

Sandy's face fell.

"Well...no. But there's no reason he can't exist. The important thing is that Santa is supposed to remind us to be good to one another. Take care of those we care about and hope for stuff like peace and love."

She had a feeling Pruna might not be as keen on those ideas but that didn't matter. Sandy could be the "Sensitive" one.

Pruna wrinkled her nose, Sandy was right she wasn't keen on those ideas. Peace and love was stupid. "I bet you do be getting lots of presents from him then." Kevin had told her he gave gifts to those who were good, and Sandy filled the criteria in Pruna's opinion.

Well, that was the catch wasn't it?

"Not...not really. I would get one every so often...but where I came from there was this big web that covered the city. It made it hard for Santa to get to my house." She explained.

"Sometimes magic can't do everything." She sighed.

"Hmm" She wrinkled her nose, "Well if Santa do be being real here you will be getting presents this time." She reassured her.

Sandy grinned hopefully and leaned into Ashley playfully.

"To be honest? This is the first Christmas I'll get to spend with a girlfriend. That's a pretty great gift already."

Pruna grinned, "This do be being the first Christmas I do be spending with a girlfriend too... well this do just be being my first Christmas, I did no never be hearing of it before."

"Well then we'll just have to do our best to make it memorable!" Sandy declared as if it was that easy.

But maybe it could be? After all Christmas was a magical time. Could the Capitol even ruin that?

"How will we be doing that? Kevin did be saying we should be decorating a tree and making cookies and eating them." Pruna wanted to do those things, well eating cookies. She was still a bit confused about the tree.

"We can do all of that!" Sandy grinned brighter.

"I don't know how to make cookies but I'm sure we can figure it out...how hard can it be?" She wondered out loud.

This could either be a great victory or a total disaster. Either way they would have fun.

"I can be making them! I did be making things at the inn all the time, I just did no be being allowed to be eating them." She grinned, "We can be using one of the kitchens!"

Between Pruna's low tech level and Sandy's lack of baking experience this could get messy.

Sandy let out a cheer and took Pruna's hand to lead her to the kitchen with excitement.

"Well then tonight we can cook as many as you think you can eat. Frosting, sprinkles, whatever we want on em or in em!" she declared as if she had some kind of authority over things.

She was pretty good at that around Pruna.

Pruna had no idea what frosting was, sprinkles she knew went on ice cream but saw no reason why they couldn't go on cookies as well.

"Let's be going then!"

Good end? I can just picture the two of them, fat on cookies slumped against each other sugarcrashed

Wowful would be the Avox who had to clean up the mess that these girls would create. What was certain was the outcome. Two girls stuffed with cookies and frosting and sprinkles till they were unwilling to move from the sofa.
