Whether in their room, or in their mail boxes, various people connected with the games are receiving Secret Santa information.

Even if they didn't sign up for it.

For those given Tributes, a small summary of their deaths in included, with a neatly written note:

Be sure to help out Tribute celebrate the holiday season by honoring their courageous sacrifices!

For those who do not have a Tribute, they are given a simple list of what the Capitol believe someone in their demographic would enjoy. As if a Tribute could not figure out that a young, Capitol woman might enjoy "Perfume, Bubbble bath, Chocolates."

The note concludes by letting the gift givers know that gifts will be traded on December 22rd.

"Well the longest day was because the light gods had triumphed, and the longest night do be waiting for the day to dawn again." She told him, wrinkling her nose, "It do be being stupid."

"Yeah." He shrugged. "But holidays are fun even if they're stupid."

"I did be telling you, I did no be every celebrating them, me and my sister did be having to be staying in our room." She frowned, "So this will be being my first one."

"They didn't let you?" That pissed him off badly. "Kids are supposed to have holidays. Fuck them."

Pruna scowled and pointed at Kevin, standing up, though even standing she wasn't of height with Kevin. "You can no be saying fuck them about them, they did be being my guardians."

"And Yvette was mine. It just means they get to tell you what to do." He shrugged. "They're not always good."

"Well good do be being a stupid word." She glared at him, "You can still no be saying fuck them about them."

"Why not?" Respect had to be earned and people who didn't treat you right didn't deserve it.

"Because it do be being disrespectful." She told him wrinkling her nose at him. "And you do no even be fucking knowing them."

"Well, it sounds like they earned it." He folded his arms. "Kids are supposed to have holidays and fun."

"Well I do no be being a like other kids." She glared harder, "You do no be knowing anything."

"I know that," he argued. "I'm not, either. But it's still what we're supposed to have."

And he was so angry that they didn't. Especially her. Because she deserved it.

"No one do be being supposed to be having anything." She told him with a nose wrinkle.

"Maybe not adults, but kids are."

"Who do be saying?" She wrinkled her nose.

"My real mom." And she'd better not say anything bad about her. She was good. "And other people back home."

"They do being stupid then, no one do be being supposed to be having anything, you do be needing to be working for things you do be wanting." She rolled her eyes at him.

"Most kids don't. That's the adults' job." He folded his arms across his chest. "And my mom wasn't stupid."

Pruna let out a sound of frustration, because Kevin was stupid too. "I do no be needing any stupid adults to be giving me things I can be getting myself."

"Well, you used to. When you were little. And kids where I'm from aren't allowed to have jobs. They have to go to school."

"Maybe when I did be being a tiny baby." She wrinkled her nose, "School do no be existing where I do be being from." She waved her hand, "Mindy did be explaining it to me."

"School is..." He shrugged. He wanted to say stupid but he also wished he'd been allowed to finish.

Pruna just looked at him, waiting for him to finish his sentence, wrinkling her nose at him.

He shrugged, noticing her looking at him. "I never finished. Yvette pulled me out after Dad died."

"Did you be wanting to be finishing?"
