[Closed] Finally something nice for a change.
Who| Cinderalla and Daniel Dreiberg
What| On the search for a post office/printer (also flirting).
Where| Around the Capitol.
When| Sometime after Cindy gets out of the arena.
Warnings/Notes| Flirting. It's Cindy, so some cursing. Discreet resistance checking out.
It seemed so long ago that they had set up this meeting. There was the arena she'd met him right before going in, and then there was just so much craziness in the between time, that she'd almost forgotten about the meet up.
Or date. Was it a date? More of a not a date but going out kind of deal? She could get behind that. Which was why she had contacted him again, some time after she'd gotten out of the arena. Her time in there had just been...embarrassing. So she had gotten better, licked a few wounds, and was getting back out there.
But now that she was... not great, but well enough, then she should get back to sort of work. Sort of work, and sort of play. Wearing an asymetrical short skirt, pink blouse, and the least inoffensive gray coat she approved of, she waited for him at the front of the tribute center. Giving a smirk as she looked down at her watch, she had a list.
Find a post office slash printer kind of place, and have fun. It was a good plan.

Not that that was likely to happen with his track record with women.
He did smile politely when he saw her. He wasn't in uniform right now, and he wore colors that were so subdued compared to other Capitol citizens. It was just a pair of durable fabric brown paints and an orange, brown and green sweater. The sweater was a little tacky but he would be too conspicuous in uniform. His lack of flamboyancy stood out too but at least he was comfortable. He didn't seem to really notice that people would notice him for his lack of skin dye or sense of fashion.
He wore glasses when he was out of uniform too. With the helmet on, he usually went with some high tech contacts, but there was something about wide glasses that he enjoyed. He pushed these ones up on his nose as he went to greet here.
"How are you holding up?" he asked, hoping that she'd at least recognize him without the white gleam of his Peacekeeper uniform.

The idea made her miss home, for the briefest of moments, before she smiled back, walking the rest of the way to greet him.
"I'm doing well enough, all things considered." When she came to a stop, she tilted her head a little to the right, studying him critically. "You know, I was supposed to meet up with this Peacekeeper guy, but I think I'd prefer going out with you."
The glasses were really cute.

Dan looked a little embarrassed at that. When he bowed his head, a piece of his hair fell into his face. He ran a hand through it to get it out of his eyes when he finally did look back up at her.
"I thought this would be less conspicuous. I wouldn't want people thinking that there was some kind of danger at the post office." He could imagine that a uniformed Peacekeeper there would lead to rumors about terrorist attacks inside of the Capitol. That was the last thing he wanted. He really didn't need any attention being drawn to him when he was out alone with the Tributes.

"You're more considerate then some of the cops back home. They go everywhere in their uniforms, you always have to double check whether they're there to get something, or there to get someone." Cindy smirked a little at that. Making fun of cops was always fun. She couldn't do it to the degree of Bigby, but close enough.
"Post office, right. Is it far from here?" Because farther the better, really. Multiple post offices might need to be looked at.

"Not very. We can take some public transport there," he said. "Urm, do you have some glasses or a hat? People will notice you. You're a Tribute."
no subject
She put them on. "Think this should do it? This is why I've never tried to be a model or a movie star." Cindy sighed, fussing with her hair for a moment so that it fell in a way to hide her face better.
"So, does that mean you've been to the districts? How do you get stationed somewhere like here, versus out there?"
no subject
Dan nodded a bit. It helped that he was a big fat nobody though. People would be less likely to assume that she was a Tribute when she was hanging out with someone they didn't know with bad fashion sense.
"They start you off in District 2," he explained. "That's where the training is centered."
no subject
Cindy is surprised at that. She assumed that here was a training center here for them, just like for the tributes. But maybe it made more sense this way. Like sending them to bootcamp before bringing them back to a main city.
"How long are you in two? I mean, how long does training last for you guys?" Is it like police academy or army training was what she was going to ask as well, but she wasn't sure if they had a difference here.
