WHO| EVERYONE!
WHAT| A party. A big one. 1 is cheering Max on and going all out.
WHEN| The day before the end of the Games.
WHERE| All the open banquet rooms in the Training center.
NOTE| Party post tag in.
The acid rain theme was still going strong.
In the main banquet hall a light rain feel over the whole room. Tents and awning were set up all over, and each guest was given a clear umbrella, the handle and ribs lighting up a rainbow of colors.
Light caught the rain, turning it colors as it fell, and huge ice sculptures dotted the rooms, "dissolving" as the way ran over them. District 1 had decided, at least, to aim for abstract sculptures, feeling replicas of the tributes might go a bit too far.
The food was, as always, extravagant and over the top. Blues and greens, fruits, juices, and succulent seafood's.
And, as always, everyone who was anyone was there.

Really, not that anyone was surprised by District 1 hammering their points into the ground, but this was a step above. It must be their noses so bent out of shape over being beaten by outer district too often lately.
Especially considering how the 74th games had ended.
He sipped his drip, looking over the crowd and trying not to let his feelings show too much on his face.

She is already tired of these parties and she has the sinking feeling that this is just the tip of the ice burg for what her future has in store for her. The last party, she didn't the whole "mix and mingle" thing, and she might go for that tactic again, soon enough. But right now, she was getting a feel for the room. Memorizing the layout. (Escape plans included - old habits die hard.) So when she finds the handsome younger man tucked into the darker edge of the room making the kind of face that most people make when something leaves a bad taste in their mouth... well, that doesn't quite add up to her.

A comment just about any victor should understand, walking the line of just too rebellious for Elias, but after the drinks tonight and the exhaustion of all the night before...he was feeling a little snarky.
And he had a feeling Shepard already knew where he was coming from.

"I'm sorry if this is rude, but I don't think we've met. I'm Jane Shepard," she offers her hand and then adds in with a chuckle, "No one calls me Jane though. Are you...another victor?" it's s shot in the dark, she knows. But he's too normal looking to be a native of the capitol and she's seen enough of the tributes faces lately to know that his isn't one of them.

He gives her a warm smile and take the offered hand, shaking it firmly.
"Elias Nehemiah. I am a victor, for, oh around a decade now. I'm one of the active mentors for District 10."

"Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but what is that like?"

It wasn't that strange she was curious. Actually possibly a good sign. Someone with their wits about them, poking around and finding things out would do better.
As long as she didn't push to hard.
"District 10 is livestock. It's very open, very green. Lots of cows. Most jobs center around that...breeding, butchering, milking...that kind of thing."

"You know," she continues, "They tell me I'm supposed to represent District 9 now? I don't even know where that is..."
